Madison is a city mostly known for being the home of the University of Wisconsin Badgers, but we are here to tell you that it is so much more than just another college town! It is a treasure trove of culinary delights, magnificent views, and outdoor activities that make it a destination worth adding to your travel list! We had the pleasure of spending one full day experiencing Madison to the fullest, and we loved every second of it! From the amazing Hotel Indigo to the Olbrich Botanical Gardens to the gorgeous Capitol Square, Madison didn’t cease to impress!

So I'm from Wisconsin and was so excited to see your video visiting Madison! My favorite cheese is same as Nat's (parmesan) but if you are ever back in Wisconsin, Weidmer's Brick cheese is very good 👍 😋 Side note- I love that you ended the video meeting someone at Kwik trip! #totallywisconsin

I lived in Wisconsin for about twenty years, absolutely loved it! Packers games in the fall, ice skating, skiing, ice fishing, the activities in the cold are actually more fun than than the Spring! And then there’s Summerfest!

Oh c'monnn! Lol... Although, I definitely can understand the argument of it smelling like feet. I somehow still enjoy it!😂 Ooo... Camembert is great! I will say, our first time ever having Camembert was in Paris and we made the mistake of getting the stronger flavor one and let's just say it took some getting used to.😂 I'm sure the cheese monger got a good laugh at selling that cheese to us naive Americans! Madison looks beautiful. I love that the botanical garden shows some plants that we dont normally see. The views of the capital building were so lovely. We have never tried cheese curds so we now know where to go to try some haha xx

Hey guys! I just found you guys. I enjoy your videos so much. You guys make me laugh. LOL! I live in Central Wisconsin. You have to visit the Northwoods. My favorite cheese is the Salami cheese. The best cheese curds are at Milwaukee Burger. Get the classic curds. They are huge and very cheesy.

This was a delicious trip! I hope you enjoyed a few samples of the orphan bin cheeses, I'd be scooping up a whole bunch. I like all kinds of cheeses except the bleu cheese. Never tried limburger or even smelled it, may have to take a pass on that one. Nice job on Madison, may have to make another trip there. I passed thru on my way to Frank Lloyd Wright's home in Green Springs, WI

Aww thanks so much Deb! Oh man we bought sooo many cheeses & when we got home we had an AMAZING Wisconsin charcuterie board! I should’ve filmed it. 😂🙈 ohhh gosh, I forgot about Limburger! I (Natalie) grew up in Germany & hated that smell… ewww lol I don’t know how people do it! 😂 thanks so much! Means a lot coming from you!! Ahhh we wanted to check out his houses!! Never seen or taken a tour of one! We can’t wait to go to one! Anyone in particular you recommend?

@@AdventuresofMattandNat If you get back to Wisconsin, check out Green Springs. His students helped construct it and on the tour took we met a current student. They only take 12 students each year and they do a self study program. I like his home and studio in Oak Park, IL. The drafting room is octagonal with natural light from skylights from above. He built the house around a tree that is still there in the middle of the home. I haven't seen Falling Water but he is very well known for that one. It's in Pennsylvania so if you haven't been to that state yet check it out. Its built over a waterfall. There's a set of stairs in the living area leading directly down to the water. Buffalo NY has some properties and there's the Guggenheim museum in NYC. You might try just doing a search under Frank Lloyd Wright in xxx ( what ever state) 'cause their seems to be some everywhere. Looking forward to next week's adventure

In Appleton, WI you can hit the little corner stores where they deliver fresh curds (not breaded or fried) every day. When you eat them, they "squeak" against your teeth. So cool, so good.

Madison is a fun city. If you ever come back though, we have so much more. Top things to see are Lake Michigan, downtown Milwaukee, lots of arts and culture in Milwaukee, north of Milwaukee to Lions Den Gorge in Grafton, and climbing the tower at Holy Hill. Bartolotta Restaurants are the best! Ristorante Bartolotta in Wauwatosa is my favorite. We also have Pizza on the farms which you need to look up here and sunflowers fields in August are so pretty. Cedarburg is cutest town ever. Love to go to Out and Out there for the best macaroni & cheese (veggie Mac) and walk downtown there looking in all the shops. Brewery tours and Harley motorcycles are popular tours in Milwaukee. Sports fans like Miller park now called (American Family field) and to see Lambeau field. If you go way up to Lake Superior Bayfield is so cute it reminds me of a little Norwegian town. Take a boat tour of Apostle Islands. Copper Falls State Park is cool. So many great state parks.

Curious if you guys ever had a chance to stop at Circus World Museum and Devil's Lake State Park in Baraboo, WI? Pretty close to Madison and definitely worth the trip. Another good stop is the Fox Valley - Appleton area.

Unfortunately not. Our time in Madison/Wisconsin was very short as we had to get back home to our jobs.😭 We loved the area and hope to get back someday though! Thanks for the recommendations and for watching!😊

Great question... Honestly that's such a hard question.. There were all so different & we really enjoyed our time in all of them! Since we are from the south ( & kinda used to it lol) we enjoyed our time everywhere else lol The PNW is awesome, fall in New England, We loved Montana, Wyoming & Idaho.. honestly we enjoyed a lot of them... lol
