COLD CASE: Missing person, Steven MacKrell was last seen on CCTV video on July 30, 2015, buying snacks at a Valero gas station in the 3600 block of North Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach, Florida at 2:32 a.m.
VANISHED WITHOUT A TRACE!..
Outside the gas station, MacKrell had an altercation with an unidentified African-American man who was a passenger in a silver sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Cavalier or Malibu.
The incident lasted only seconds and was caught on CCTV surveillance. The car was seen following MacKrell as he drove away, never be seen again.

CASE DETAILS
Steven MacKrell left Lucky’s Tavern at 1:30 a.m., got into his car on west Las Olas Boulevard, and drove north on Northwest Seventh Avenue.
He was supposed to meet friends and then go out afterward, but he never arrived there.
After the altercation caught on CCTV camera at the Valero gas station, Steven has never been heard from again.
His car, a white four-door 2013 Ford Fusion with a missing rim on the front driver's side and the license plate number WJ70L, is also missing.
He had had about five drinks at Lucky's Tavern and may have been intoxicated at the time of his disappearance.
At the time of his disappearance, MacKrell worked as a professional casino poker dealer.
Steven has never been away from the South Florida area.
Since he went missing, his phone hasn't been turned on and his debit card has not been used.
MacKrell left behind a baby daughter.
Foul play is possible in his case, which remains unsolved.

Heartbreaking for the Mom and her family 💔 I will keep them and AWP in my prayers 🕯️🕯️🕯️. That knife looks mighty sharp! Like the fact that it's made in Japan. I prefer buying products that are made in USA, but when settling for imported products Japan does make quality sharp knives/cutting products!

It's shocking how many vehicles are underwater! Insurance fraud, accidental, criminal? Very shocking. The dedication to finding these missing people for their families is such a beautiful thing in this world of sadness and chaos. Thank you. Hearing this mother in absolute grief is heartbreaking.

If any of the guys in the car who were following Steven know something went wrong and you are watching this, please say something. Listen to this mother who has been suffering so long not knowing what happened and where Steven is. Look at her face. The face of his daughter and other family members. They deserve answers if you have them. If you had nothing to do with his disappearance at least tell someone which way he was going when you stopped following his car. It only takes one voice to have the courage to speak up.

I really enjoy these episodes. My son had a boating accident Easter Sunday 2022. Monday they called in sonar divers. There was so much junk in the bayou but they found him Monday afternoon. So very thankful it wasn't years before he was found. God was good to me and my family!

What an astounding effort from all involved! All have the biggest hearts! Doug, you are not just the voice for the voiceless, you’re a shoulder to cry on for Astrid. That was heartwarming! Allison of Guardians of the Missing, what a noble cause you are involved in, I am so grateful you’re not giving up on this case. I hope Steven is found. These videos bring awareness to the case and hopefully someone would remember something after seeing these, especially after seeing Astrid and hearing her words. She just wants to know what happened to her baby. Bless her sweet heart! My heart breaks for every family. Thank you AWP for always putting in all you’ve got and more! I’m always in awe of you! We just lost our daughter to breast cancer she was 33yrs old and I joined a group called Compassionate friends everyone in this group has lost a child. They are there 24-7 if you need to vent or just get help when you are going down the rabbit hole which I was told to live my life 1 minute at a time and yes I will just break down and cry and I will always be the grieving mom I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy the lost of a child ages you more than anything and I am a Rn and I couldn't save her I was holding her in my arms as she took her last breath and I am broken inside my heart physically hurts and there's nothing anyone can say or do to fix it 💔 😔😥😢

It’s wonderful to see how gentle Doug and Allison treats the family. You could tell an area was going to be difficult to search but they went anyway because mom wanted to search there. Compassion goes a very long way

As you leave the gas station heading towards Sailboat lake (where you searched in the first video) there is a long thin body of water on the right just before you get to Sailboat lake. NW 36th St runs parallel to W Sample Road and it dead ends right into that narrow body of water. An intoxicated person or someone who is being chased could drive off Sample Rd onto 36th and right into the water there. There is a guardrail but it appears to be broken in April 2015 Streetview, then the guardrail looks to be fixed in July 2015 Streetview, but then it appears broken again in a May 2016 Streetview. Please search there if you haven't yet.

My heart breaks for his mother. As a mother myself. It doesn't matter. How old your child is or whether. They are grown. As a parent you always hope and pray. No harm comes to them. Each time they go out the door. This mother deserves answers and her torment to end. Hope and pray anyone has any info. Whether a person thinks it's significant or not. Please!call crime tip line/local police dept. All law enforcement needs. Is that one tip. Our fine law enforcement will do the rest. Props!To the caring lady. That is helping this family. I have bought 2 of the window breakers and I keep them in my car one on my side as a driver and one one the passengers side as my daughter is almost alway with me and I live on a land on a very deep river I never want my family to have to go through what so many of the people who you are trying to help have to go through. I hope Steven comes home, either by you guys, or someone else. I know the Pompano area very well, it's riddled with drugs and gangs, murders are not at all uncommon. You literally have to watch anybody, and everybody you run into or meet.

Y'all do amazing work. I wish you could help the parents of Keili Rodni, who went missing in a California campground last week or so. They say she might have driven her SUV into a huge lake near the campground where she'd been partying with other teens. She left early from the party, alone and intoxicated, and hasn't been seen since. I KNOW Adventures With Purpose could find her and her car. Even if you can't, you have helped so many families find resolution by finding their missing loved ones. Thank you.

Thank you for helping this grieving mother! It broke my heart to hear that some terrible people took advantage of her in the worst moments of her life, I cannot even fathom that there are people that low in this world but the good you guys do outweighs their bad tenfold. Thank you for helping ones in need, I couldn't imagine losing one of my children, I can't imagine the amount of pain she is going through. I am praying for her and for you guys to find him! 🙏🏻 ❤️

I'm going to guess they gave the info to the local police and it is out of AWP's hands. Likely still an open case at this point and we, and AWP, may never know.

As i watch these videos i see so many different aspects of hard work. The physical labor of hauling everything around, diving and other tasks, to the mental labor of figuring out where's and whens while keeping composed for the families, then the production work for the videos themselves. Also the sleepless nights away from home and so so many other things that make awp what it is. You guys are true warriors of the people no matter the circumstance. Strongest type of human there is all of you.

someone knows something about his disappearance. so why not come clean? the families suffered long enough, they deserve the answers to where he is. i sat there and i felt his mothers pain full handedly. no one should go through that kind of emotional distress. do the right thing and come clean. the family doesn't deserve this heartache, whoever you are do the right thing, this family needs to find their loved one so they can begin to heal. doug has done a phenomenal job in searching, locating vehicles, searching everywhere to help his mother find answers. i pray AWP can find him and bring him home!!! thank you guys for everything you do for the families you help. love you all!!! your friend and supporter james rideout!!

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I really appreciate everything that you guys do. You're respectful to the loved ones of the presumed deceased person, you're respectful when you actually find someone and make sure not to use their remains as an 'Oh my god, you won't believe what we found, look at this!' moment, you give the facts as they're known to you, you don't speculate more than necessary...you don't say things like, "Oh, they must've gotten in with the wrong crowd and they got killed!"...to figure out where a person could be, and you don't sensationalize the story.

It is just so heart wrenching to see his Mom breakdown. She needs to know where her son is. To think that someone may know something yet hasn't come forward contibuting to this Mom's heartbreak is unfathomable. Doug, you have my deepest respect. The kindness and compassion shown while looking for her son is the reason I have so much respect for AWP and avidly let the ads on KZfaq run, in hopes that me watching may contribute in some minute way. As AWP always say, they may not have found him yet but they have been able to rule out some places where he is not. Time will hopefully bring him closer to coming home 💖💔
