Advice for new language teachers

A Celta or Tesol course is the beginning of a longer process of professional formation. Here are some thoughts on that process. Ultimately, we need to be learning on a fundamental level to communicate anything worthwhile to our students, imho.

Thank you so very much, Andrew! I wish I could watch your useful videos more! When I was doing my Trinity CertTESOL in July, your advice and the way you teach helped me tremendously and clarified a lot of unclear things that I wasn’t actually sure to do! It would be really nice to hear from you more!

excellent reflections, very useful. I was wondering if you could give some advice regarding job search for MFL secondary teachers wanting to take the jump from teenager to adult teaching? thank you for sharing your thoughts

Thanks for the upload, all useful videos. Was wondering if you are aware of a refresher course? I undertook CELTA almost 20 years ago but sadly never used it. Now I am looking for work but do not have the finances to undertake it again, prices have increased significantly. Thanks.

Thanks a lot! I would like to know something from a video you uploaded three years ago, which is about Hot to teach vocabulary... (Jobs). My question is if you take off the structure or vocabulary you present in the presentation stage during both practice and production stage. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, really useful recommendations, do you consider there's an age limit to engage in completing a CELTA or TESOL course. I've been teaching for about15 years and never made my mind up about going for it, but because of the coronavirus pandemia I started considering a possibility of getting the certification... I'm 43, what dou you think?
