The Youth Cafe in collaboration with ten implementing partners from Kenya, Zambia, Ghana, and the Central African Republic (CAR), has been actively engaged in the co-creation and development of a comprehensive Advocacy Toolkit - a youth-owned Advocacy toolkit - to facilitate and enhance the advocacy efforts of young people in Africa in political and democratic processes, especially those in The toolkit aims to provide actionable guidance, practical strategies, and valuable insights to create a positive impact on democratic processes. Through a series of co-creation sessions, the partners have contributed to shaping the content and methodologies included in the toolkit.
To further refine and operationalize the Advocacy Toolkit, The Youth Cafe is organizing a hybrid Workshop from June 3rd & 4th, 2024. This event will bring together the ten member organizations involved in the co-creation process for an intensive session of development and refinement. The workshop serves as a platform for final edits, validation, and the official launch of the Advocacy Toolkit, alongside the creation of a Youth Advocacy Action Plan and a Self-Assessment Reporting Template.
This two-day workshop marks a crucial step in the journey towards equipping young advocates with the necessary resources to drive meaningful change. The validated and launched Advocacy Toolkit, coupled with the Youth Advocacy Action Plan and the Self-Assessment Reporting Template, will serve as essential instruments in amplifying the voices of youth in advocacy efforts worldwide.
