I’ll always be more of a five string fan when it comes to comfort in the neck but the tone from this one in particular is out of this world. The five string sounds great too, no knock on it at all but there’s something about the 1506

What shape are the necks on those Ibanez EHB basses? I’m used to playing on a thin D, do these have any sort of shoulder to them?

It has a thin D shape neck. If you're used to common ibanez D shape neck profiles then you should be good.
