This is the full review of a 1966 Cessna 182J model. The video also covers general info on the 182 and some interesting facts. Flight portion of the video shows the capabilities of this 182. We would be glad to answer any questions you may have about Cessna 182.
If you have any questions regarding the sale of this plane please contact the company directly not through KZfaq.

Cessna 182 is a great plane. There are no real competitors for 182. Interestingly the Cessna 182 never changed the horsepower. It has always been 230hp starting with first production in 1957 until today. (The turbo and RG models had 235HP)

Isn’t that a reason you married her? To help keep things in perspective? I personally wouldn’t use my own aircraft for primary training because of the stress put on the plane. Once you’re in a stage to handle a plane well you could transition into your own plane to finish the training - which is what I did. But if you plan to own a more capable plane, either high performance or complex then I’d wait until after getting the license to buy. Appreciate you watching the videos, liking and subscribing.

Another great video looks like fun being able to be a pilot and fly I’m just to big to fit in them training planes I think they are very small inside
@aerolife1646
@aerolife1646 2 жыл бұрын
Even the planes that look smaller will sometimes have quite a bit of space. We just had a 2 seat RV12 that looks very small from the outside but can fit over 6' tall person comfortably. The best way to find out is just to get into a 182 and see. If you happen to see a 182 on a ramp you could simply ask the pilot; most would let you take a look.

Love your video. I have a cessna 182l 1968. I record every flight for myself to help me be a better pilot, and I use gopros which I believe you do also. I mount one on center dash because it's the best place I found for me, and my only option to get center view of my flight. When in training I flew 172 which all had a place on ceiling to mount a gopro and that's where I always placed my gopro's. Since I too have the same kind of ceiling with cloth completely across I do not have that option. In looking at your video I see you have a gopro mounted some how on center ceiling very close to wind shield. My question is how did you do that and maybe you could send me a few pic's. Thanks again for you view I am looking forward to trying your suggestion on my fuel tanks. I've been given other advice but never seem to make it work. Thanks again

@clyderokke5409
@clyderokke5409 2 жыл бұрын
I never heard that and I did a lot of slips in Cessnas, most with my CFI. The book does caution you about slips with flaps though but people still do slips if they have a bunch of altitude to lose.

In the video we used a forward slip to lose altitude quickly. A sideslip is different. In some airplanes, when fuel is very low, if you do not have coordinated flight a slip might cause fuel starvation. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.

@@yahatinda He has a valid question. If you side slip a plane when it has low fuel that could cause fuel starvation. In some POH it specifically mentions not to slip the plane below certain fuel levels.

I know, it’d be nice to use metric since it’s simpler. Since most of our audience is in US we have to use standard units of measurement. 44” is 1m 12cm 1 gallon is about 3.8l Thank you for bearing with the inconvenience and watching our video

I know, you’re right, this is just for fun. 1 horse is 14.9 horsepower over a short period of time while an engine can generate max rated horsepower in a much shorter period. Considering an instant, the statement could still be true. Thanks for watching the video.
