Ida, just. an idea, but that backing board for the frame your great grandmothers hankie might have acid content that will eventually weaken the fibers in the lace and cotton. I would find some nice acid free conservation quality paper to sandwich between the board and hankie. You might want to wash the hankie in gentle soap and iron dry when damp to get rid of that crease too. Thats just me, my brain would try to edit that fold out. Love all your thrifted items, thanks for the virtual trip!
