Hallo to the US, one thing interests me regarding the distance you mention when coming close to an airport. When you mention "I am 10 miles east 3000 ft ....", is it statute miles or nautical miles? As we are in Germany in the metric system we do not have the same problem. When we talk of miles it is nautical miles or we speak of kilometers. Greetings, Marc
