I’m from Chicago and like most people around the country I was rocked by the Boston Marathon bombing and remember seeing this and just tearing up. It was a perfect tribute and you all did a fantastic job. This, coming on the almost week anniversary of the Highland Park shooting here in Chicagoland. Just don’t understand why people continue to hurt each other.

In order for 14-year-old groupie Julia Holcomb (Holcolm) to move in with him in Boston in 1975, Steven Tyler persuaded her parents to grant him guardianship. Tyler, who was 27 at the time, dated and engaged in drug use with Holcolm for three years until their relationship came to an end as a result of an unintended pregnancy that led to an abortion. At the age of 17, Tyler gave Julia back to her parents. To protect her identity, Julia is referred to as Diane Hall in the novel “Walk This Way.”

I’ve always loved the lines “every time that I look in the mirror, all these lines in my face getting clearer”. What incredibly prophetic lyrics for a relatively young guy to write. He’s a hell of a writer when you consider all the great songs he wrote.

I watched a live version of this song from 43 years ago, which was the year I was born. Then watched another one from this year, and the guy sounds just as damn good as he did was he was real young. I can't believe he can still hit those notes at almost 70 yrs old. Steven Tyler, you have one of the best, and one of the most unique voices in the music industry! In my opinion, one of the best bands of all time!!

@@linus5171 I've seen GNR 5 times. he sings different now but he can sound like his old self when he wants to. he does it during certain parts of songs and then seems like he cuts back. maybe because he's saving his voice or he doesn't have the stamina anymore. he would sing a song with all rasp then not use it for most of the next.

That’s always my question. How could you leave a dislike on something that was like for a charity event, run, etc.? They have to be so small of a person to do that.

His soul was " Way beyond his human age...even at 17...I can't imagine the struggle of being born . As a "prophet ".....he did what he could with his "God given Gifts ".......he related to the entire world even at 17..maybe not enough seeing his selfworth.... But I will tell you this man's heart has been in the "right place" I ll be looking for Him as well as well as many other How honored to simply have a quick chat with someone who has has such a influence on our universe... I know your heart is true, simply because I am one of "those" that can see threw"... I know you "Steve" havent led "reverent" lifestyle ( who has) Believe here on earth we must...look in the mirror and dream on ...to walk the stairway to Heaven...not I easy trek but its those who speak to our hearts threw musical poetry that have made a large impact. Oh man... Got chills multiple times throughout this. The Children's Choir adds a really haunting element behind Tyler's powerhouse vocals that sound better every day. One of my favorite moments is 2:18. Chilling. Everybody on screen is just so good at what they do. Stay strong, Boston.
