In 2015 the mountain inn Aescher Wildkirchli in Switzerland was named to the most beautiful spot on earth by National Geographic. It is also mentioned in the book 1000 places to see before you die.
Last weekend I had the chance to visit the Aescher Wildkirchli and took some shots with my drone of this amazing place.
The Wildkirchli is situated on the cliff of the Alpstein and is reached via the Wildkirchli caves. It is truly one of the most beautiful places I have been, the view and the location are just amazing. If you travel to Switzerland or Europe the Aescher Wildkirchli should be on your list.

I hiked to Aescher in 2000. That place and the hike is incredible. I stayed the night. In the morning I ate my granola on the cliffside terrace/patio. I could barely eat due to the scary, heart-stopping view next to my table. I literally had to look away in order to eat my breakfast. And I thought the cliff-side trail just before the approach to the gasthaus was scary (I actually just followed the goat ahead of me!). I did have to stop and tell myself - I can do this. And the gondola ride was enough to make me panic. This is one of the most fabulous places I've ever been. And now, to see it in a totally different perspective via your drone footage, was truly amazing. I went in late August, and only a few people were there - but that was 20 years ago.
