I agree that they should of presented more of the Virtual Idols. One way to back up the VIdols to get popularity (might be early or not the right time) is to study or collab with the other Virtual entertainment people, such as VTubers or the Japanese V Idols. One VTuber I'm subscribe to is A.I. Channel, and I Iike the way they present the V World.

Aespa definitely had the SM stereotypical budget push and allure throw onto them. But this video doesn't scream instant Superstars. But it's like you said they have a long future. It is very obvious something is missing within the debut but that's neither here or there.

I'm wondering if they're gonna add in a rap part when they rerelease Black Mamba in a full album since it's kinda weird that a debut title track is under 3 min

I felt the same way about the song. Its fine, but wasn't catchy enough to stick in my head. I think they will do fine, the virtual thing is... well we'll see if it sticks or they just get more conventional in the long run.

Yeah, I'm waiting to see how this virtual idol concept will do in the long run. I think for now, Lee Soo-man is committed to the SM Culture Universe and merging tech with his groups. Aespa happens to be the first that tech is directly used (aka virtual idols).

I wasn't the biggest fan of the vocals but Karina and Giselle really impressed me and I am looking foward seeing what the future holds for the group. I'm glad they didn't give everything away immediately but I'm hoping for more content soon and all the best for the group ❤️️

Thank you Jason :) I agree w/ you abt almost all thing :D One thing, we need to discuss SM approach abt "avatar" here, bcs its borderline controversial, like have "your bias in shape of avatar to be own" :') Or I dont know, maybe I have misunderstood his message ...

@@Popsori Hi. So do you have any idea what this KWANGYA word means? I saw it in black mamba mv and now i saw it in NCT's 90's Love MV. Oh KWANGYA was also in one of NCT's teaser videos for resonance part 1.

Will you consider in one of your future videos a homage/biography of 1980s JPop idol Yukiko Okada (岡田有希子)? Hiya Jeric! First, thanks so much for the kind words. I really appreciate it and hearing them makes me want to make more videos for you guys. As for Yukiko Okada, sure, I do a video in the future. When I do Japanese music videos, I always wonder how many of the Popsori audience are interested in them. But the J-pop community has been so good to me, so I'll see what I can do. PS: Definitely, I really like Grazy Grace and her "spilling the tea videos." She's as real as they come. As for Soobeanie, I've seen some of her videos too. It would be great to talk to either of them in the future if they wanted to talk to me!

Do you think the mv for "Forever" is in response to how there's too much going on visually in the "Black Mamba" video? So far, I get that over cooked concept vibe from group. They need some ear worms more than world building music videos.

I agree. I do say in the video that it's not the end of the world Aespa's debut was okay-ish (to me at least). The group definitely has some talent behind it, I can see them having some awesome songs in the future.

I can see that. I do think Lee Soo-man has to be very clear on his marketing and where he wants the virtual idol concept to go. As for Aespa, they just need one banger of a song to make it big. K-pop fans need to have a catchy song that people instantly recognize and say "whoa, that's an Aespa song!"
