Wow, you guys loved seeing me talk about what treatments I would give subscribers! This week I have a few more volunteers who sent in their photos - and we've even upgraded the photos and have several angles.

My name is Dr Sarah Tonks, and I'm an aesthetic physician based in Knightsbridge, London. I have degrees in both medicine and dentistry, and diplomas in cosmetic science and dermatology (I've got a bit of an education addiction🤓) and have been practicing medical aesthetics for over 10 years. I've been featured in Tatler, Hello, Vogue and on ITV's This Morning and Channel 4's Bodyshocker - but I still have so much to get off my chest, so I decided to create this channel!

I wish I could see a professional like you. Even if had spare money to do fillers and Botox etc., I think I'd be very afraid to go to someone who doesn't understand subtlety like you do.

Great video. Full of practical and respectful suggestions. re the first person, I had PRP around the eyes (12 treatments and it cost a bomb) and then filler in the tear trough. It made a huge difference. Eyes is always the key. i'm a guy but noone wants to look sad and tired.

When you mention exercising and nutritional health before having surgery, I know you're the kind of doctor I would like to have. I don't live anywhere near you so I can't be your patient but you really changed my views about esthetic procedures. 💟

*The first girl obviously needed orthognathic surgery before any injectibles, you can see she has a malloclussion with your bare eyes. Her lower jaw is protruding and her maxilla is set back, which is the main reason her skin looks “droopy” in her upper face. Instead of any injectibles I’d send her to a maxillofacial surgeon as soon as possible. I do hope she’s reading this and does something about it because a crooked bite is so much more than just aesthetically unpleasing, it can affect the way you eat, breathe, talk and the overall quality of life.*

ABC 123 I thought the same thing looking at the first picture, but the side profile looks pretty straight. I expected that the mandible would be a lot more protruded. Hard to say without seeing a Ceph 🤷🏼‍♀️

You can see from the side elevation that it really isn't severe. Certainly not severe enough to be causing any medical issues or reduction in quality of life.

Lip lines are a VERY valid concern even if you can't see them. I don't have them, but my mom has practically invisible ones. Her lipstick was bleeding, so I gave her a clear liner to use and that temporarily helps. It would be an absolute nightmare to someone who loves red or any dark color.

Totally agree with plexr, l have had that and was a mess for a week plus.. and for me both times I felt as though it didn’t do enough to warrant the down time and 6 months later I felt it hadn’t really improved overall.

Oof, surgery terrifies me because I’m on high doses of both klonopin and methadone and I feel like my heart would just stop at the hint of anesthesia.

Holy cow, I’ve had to pause this video mid way through, to ask, please can I send a photo in? And have a honest and brutal opinion, haha. Wherever I’ve been, people pussy foot around and I think I need serious work but not sure where to start. I don’t currently have a black Amex, but if I know what would give me the best results to make a difference and a guide on what it would cost, i can set a goal, then achieve it. X

I would coolsculpt the neck and then ultherapy. Possibly absorbable threads but ultherapy once or twice first. Non md, us based medical aesthetician here. 😘 fun vid!!!!!

I see... i guess those laws are in place to protect patients so I will try not to be too disappointed. ;) it would have been so much fun though... I am so happy I found your channel and I really like how you explain the different techniques and filler types. Thank you for sharing your knowledge while being so much fun to watch! I would definitely watch all videos on the differences between the fillers (brands, texture and so on) or how to apply them (techniques). I wish you merry Christmas! 🎄🍀

Love it! I was at 3 surgeons here in Germany and they did not had the esthetic eye you have. My profile picture is quite old and I miss my old me. I gained and lost and gained a lot of kg the last years+ on top I have to high intercranial pressure and the medicine I take aged me horribly. My skin is extremelly dry and flaky from the medicine and I can't tolerate a lot of products unfortunatelly. What laser, skincare ect. would ryou recomend to firm up the skin and make it look younger?? Also it would be interesting what treatment is better if a person is more on the chubby side. My feeling is that the doctors here not really want to say their honest opinon or they are not able to because it is much more difficult if a person has to much fat in their face? Greetings from Germany :)

maybe you just went to the wrong doctors, I mean you can judge all surgeons after having visited three in pretty much the same area :D

I highly recommend hyaluronic acid serum (u can buy great ones on Amazon) use daily after you've cleaned then toned with a brightening toner apply the hyaluronic serum then ur moisturizer with spf for day time and follow same procedure at night but use a nighttime moisturizer after the hyaluronic serum!! Then once a week do the same steps but include a dermal roller tool over ur entire face (directions, needle size and tools also available on Amazon) after u apply the hyaluronic serum (preferably while serum is still wet) and use roller to drive it into the skin!! After ur tolerance has improved u can do roller twice a week with the serum!! It's a great CORRECTIVE, AFFORDABLE AND SAFE TECHNIQUE IF U FOLLOW THE ROLLERS DIRECTIONS!! I would also recommend a good facial with microdermabrasion or Dermaplaining to exfoliate all the dead skin off so u will absorb/benefit 1000% better after all that dead skin is off!! Best of luck!! Retinols can help a bunch if ur a candidate to use it!!

I am going to get plexr treatment next month for my upper eye lids. They are not really hooded yet, but I do have excess skin that is starting to get annoying. So it is more as a preventive way, because I'm only 27 years old. So I hope it will turn out okay... now I'm a bit scared it wont work😅

Dr. Tonks, you mentioned with the second patient (the older lady) that you would recommend eye surgery to get rid of the fat above and below her eyes. Why wouldn't you use Aqualyx (spelling?) or Kybella injection? Aren't they used to dissolve fat tissue?

I think she was talking about fat and skin as well. The lady has droopy skin around her eyes so only removing the fat would make the skin sag even more and make her look even older and more tired. That's why she recommends a surgeon who will work with both the skin and underlying fat for the best result.

Great job again today. For more likely surgery candidates like me and the lovely woman today, I have a weird question. With all the threading and shots and sonics and lasers and stuff==would surgery be cheaper too? I guess there would be some of the former after the surgery, but not as much. Just a random question floating through my wee mind. 🙏😘✨

Hello from Canada, I just stumbled onto your we site and noticed how very knowledgeable you are. I have been getting Botox on my forehead and crows feet for about 3 years. the last time i got it I noticed i looked like a frickin Chimp Monk when i smiled. I thought maybe it was an allergic reaction, is it possibly to get a reaction from the Botox. I dont know what i should do now, Im scared to get it again cause from the start i just wanted a natural look. I should mention that I've put on some weight. I have a beautiful smile and i dont wanna smile cause my face looks FAT. I told my Dr about it and should her a picture and she said its because I'm smiling to big , WHAT ?? I can send that picture but i dont know how to add it here. I can send to email if youd like. Can you also tell me with Skin Treatments are the best for skin tightening and collegen production. Margaret Gesuale you can have alteration of the smile on using Botox so this is possible. Skin tightening I use ultrasound and radiofrequency

please be the first to announce a vegan based collagen... its just a matter of time. I am going to have play dumb for now, and ask myself, "whether the benefits outweigh the risks." There could be a negligible amount of fetal tissue in some of these derma fillers, but I am dumb.

@@DrSarahTonks In America, people who do fillers/botox/etc. are technicals and do not need a doctorate education or only have a license to do certain procedures. Super interesting how other countries work!

Heather, in most states in the US u must be a nurse and can work with a physician or nurse practitioner overseeing u either in person or in ur own location with their license as ur approved legal requirements!! That's how it is in Az and the most common from my experience!!!
