@marc rodney Why would people who grew up in the 2000’s be inspired by people who wrestled in the 80’s and 90’s? There’s nothing wrong with Dynamite Kid and British Bulldog, but they are several generations removed at this point. I’m sure there’s some young guys out there who’ve gone out of their way to watch old matched featuring the British Bulldogs. But the British guys this generation grew up on is guys like Nigel, Doug Williams, Jonny Storm, Jody Fleisch, Paul Burchill, etc.

I questioned why wrestlers who grew up in the 2000’s would have watched them, as they aren’t their contemporary wrestlers. Going back and watching them after the fact is one thing (I’ve done so myself), but that will never compare to the guys you grew up on in terms of who you idolize and got inspired by. You whining about people not being inspired by the guys YOU grew up on is a perfect example of that. If you don’t like modern wrestling, just don’t watch and go watch the stuff you DO enjoy. I grew up on 80s and 90s wrestling even tho i have watched wrestling before that i was mostly inspired by guys i grew up watching. I worked some east coast indys for a couple years in my early 20s. That's the plan, but you know how things are in game development (or maybe you don't, I dunno). Better to be delayed for as long as necessary than come out a busted mess like WWE 2K20. They _need_ to get it right on the first try. I remember when ECW had a couple of games come out back in the Playstation era, and they were uniformly terrible.

I always thought more and more matches should end without the use of a wrestler's signature finisher in order to make it feel more realistic and when the finisher is brought out then it feels like a bigger deal.

A big Reason why i loved batista. He won many matches with the spear or the spinebuster. Made the batista bomb feel even more special
