A year ago we all didn't know that Tazz had a kid, let alone a kid that's old enough to be training as a wrestler in Cody Rhodes's wrestling dungeon. For a kid to be having only a few matches under his belt, he looks to me like a hell of a prospect. Strange he suppose to be the heel when he's in Tazz's faction but in his matches he's the babyface, AEW rolls different.

This kid is smoooth. He has an effortless grace about his movements and an explosiveness that really sells his attacks. He’s not that big, but he looks like he hits HARD, and most importantly, his move set looks like it should hit hard. It’s not just a great seller (which both Bear Bronson and Fuego are) making him look good, but a combination of great sells with great execution thats really, really working well for him. Still want to see him take some bumps and sell some more before I can say he’s going to be one of the greats, but he’s definitely getting there.

Diving up from the piledriver was a big no-no though. Unless they got a supernatural gimmick going on or they're up against someone a lot smaller than them, then they shouldn't be no-selling like that. It's shit like that, that makes wrestling look dumb. Consistency matters.

@@NoirFan01 The idea of face and heel can get a little bit blurred when it comes to a lot of characters. A lot of people will root for the heel to the point where it looks like they're cheering for a face, but if Hook goes against a "full" face, then the cheering crowd will be more split. Only times they will be boo'd is if they do this against someone like Jungle Boy, Orange Cassidy, or Darby Allen. Heels like Adam Cole and Malakai Black are absolutely heels. They will borderline torture their opponents in matches, and will sometimes assault them outside of the ring, but we still cheer them cause they're so god damn cool.

Fans went crazy over fandango for about a month too. Hooks nothing more than a one trick pony living in his dads shadow. If a heel wrestler starts getting a baby face reaction then the booker is supposed to slowly over a month or two tease a baby face turn and then finally have a heel turn on in this case hook and that will automatically make hook a babyface now. You never just start pandering to the crowd on your second match ever when you’re a heel. Its wrestling 101. These wrestlers are marks themselves and need to cheer themselves out there.

He fixed the crossfaces that he was missing horribly in his first match, that actually shows growth. I also like how the last two crossfaces were to the throat to open it up for his Redrum choke. It's weird on television this felt much longer than not even 4 minutes, Hook does so much in such a short amount of time. @@NYC_Goody are you calling Omega a bum? dude has consistantly put on good to great matches even before his run in AEW., he is far from a bum and it takes 2 to tango so a great match isnt just orchestrated by 1 man.
@NYC_Goody
@NYC_Goody 2 жыл бұрын
@@grandtheftaudio6386 yeah but you just know Danielson is in charge with all of these matches because these guys are having the best looking matches they've had in aew. And yes, based off me only seeing him in aew I am calling him a bum. Dude loves video games which I do as well but then he goes and acts like it's a video game in the ring which is just stupid. There's no logic or good psychology behind the constant stupid facials and ridiculous moves he does. He has no pacing and doesn't know how to properly sell. It looks like he's just going with the motions. Literally watching an mjf or Danielson match compared to him is night and day. Don't be blinded by your aew bias.
@grandtheftaudio6386
@grandtheftaudio6386 2 жыл бұрын
@@NYC_Goody considering you "only seeing him in aew" Id say the one here with "aew bias" here is you. While Danielson might be "in charge" with all of these matches I dont think you fully understand what that means because the PRODUCER is actually in charge of the match, Danielson and whomever he is facing might come up with and decide on the major spots but with someone as tenured as Omega I can 100% assure you that Danielson and Omega both had equal input so once again, it takes 2 to tango especially in a match that can be considered "great."

I doubt that will happen anytime soon. I believe Cody is going to feud with MOTY and Dan Lambert which is why Sammy drop the belt to Cody. IMO Cody will drop the belt to Ethan as in this case AEW can push Ethan Page first than push whoever he face next as major face. As for Hook, imo his first feud will be Tony Nese.

@@outsider2k8 no he won't.cody if anything should be holding the belt for awhile,they have to push Cody Rhodes so fans keep tuning in who will beat him
@outsider2k8
@outsider2k8 2 жыл бұрын
@@wingedhussar1453 I don't think fans care how long Cody hold the belt as Cody isn't Goldberg and fans are more interested in when Cody turn heel. There is no point for Sammy to drop belt to Cody since there is no story build up outside Sammy needs time off to deal with personal issue. It is clear to me that Cody and MOTY & Dan Lambert are going into a program. Dan can do a lot of old school heel promo on Code. AEW and Tony Khan which end up a title shot match in PPV. Once Ethan won the belt, whoever challenge Ethan as face will need to go through American top team and once he finally beat Ethan and won TNT title the pop he received will be unbelievable. We are talking about a program can last next 6 to 8 months.

@@NYC_Goody The no-sell makes the 'right' talent look very strong and gets Hook over tremendously in this case instead of looking like he struggled to get a win which doesn't separate him from anyone that way.
