I became a fan of the Real Dons when my NBA team was stolen from us. After learning about the Wimbledon's story, I became a fan and a Dons' Trust member. And then in 2019 (what good timing), I travelled to see my team from 9000 km away. COYD!

Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 I’ve been looking at Wimbledon since 2 years in think. It happend because I heard about their history and the take away of your club. Me as German football fan (more precisely: Dynamo Dresden (3rd German Division)) I love the way Wimbledon goes. The Fans have it in their hands and I love that. It’s quite notable that you are one of the last teams that work that way. Stay away from shady investors. Fuck the modern football. Here in Germany there is a rule that the clubmembers always have the upperhand over an investor (named 50+1 Rule) and I think that’s good. I hope afc Wimbledon does good, it’s already good that they won against the Wrong dons. So yea Wimbledon! Lets go Dons! 💙💛 Stay in your Division or go up, I want to manage you in FIFA/EAFC ✊🏻

MK Dons came to Edgeley park this Sat & for the first 30 mins looked very dangerous, then we battered them 5-0. Hope that cheers you up, it did me.

@@SamChippeck Yeah but the Dons bit is seen by Wimbledon fans as having been "stolen" from them given that is the part of the name referrring to the old club, so it is just a reminder of the fact that they had their club uprooted to MK. One of the least neutral ways you could possibly refer to them if you ask me.

Great video! What do you dor editing your vids mate? Ive got a PC, what would you reccomend for a beginner ? Also if i were to do a video of clips how do i add ny voice over it as a narration? Love your work! Keep it up

Everyone’s different- my best advise is whichever software you’re using teach yourself with KZfaq tutorials. I use Final Cut Pro or adobe premiere, tend to prefer Final Cut for its more efficient use but everyone’s different 😊

@@SamChippeck okay, yeah as a beginner I want just pure basics. Also how do you add a live audio over the top of clips as a narration and ensuring it's In sync. Shotcut is one I've downloaded that's free and I'm trying to work out as this is stopping me doing vids

I do wonder if Wimbledon would not have been better off staying at the original Plough Lane. I saw a match at Plough Lane in the late 1990s, as Wimbledon still owned it and their reserves played there. It was small and basic, but if the will had been there, a compact modernised ground could have been redeveloped in a similar way to Bournemouth. Ironic thing is the Milton Keynes move ultimately was the catalyst for AFC Wimbledon to climb the pyramid. There is some hypocrisy from certain sections of football, a lot of pundits and fans vocally disliked the original Wimbledon, something which I never went along with. I think there was jealousy about Wimbledon climbing the League and winning the FA Cup.

Very apt that you showed a photo of plough Lane when it was half empty, which to younger Wimbledon supporters was just like plough lane for the last three/ four seasons, which was in the Premier league, check out the attendances the last three seasons at Plough Lane around 7600 in a 15'800 stadium. Rose tinted glasses spring to mind. This is an observation based on when I lived in South London from the mid-1980s to 1994.

Can you comment on why Wimbledon did not have a plan for leaving Selhurst park? Also why the attendance in premier league at Selhurst park was terrible? I was fan in these times, it seemed like a lot of fans had already Abandoned the original Wimbledon.

You'd have to ask Sam Hammam but from our perspective the plan was to asset strip the club and walk away. Can you comment on why the buyers didn't pump that money into MK City instead of buying their league place?
