Here is a MAC fix + affordable dupe. You can get all three things at your local CVS or Walgreens or Walmart. I use this everyday and it has 100% satisfied me and i can get up to 3-4 bottles of it instead if paying $20-$30 on MAC fix +. I use Clean&Clear-essentials deep cleaning toner(sensitive skin) and CVS brand-Pure glycerin. And a $1 spray bottle. Both products are around $5-$6 but it is totally worth the money. I did one part water in the bottle and the other part toner. Depending on how oily you skin is depends in how much glycerin to add. I have normal skin so i did 6 drops of glycerin. If you have dry dry skin i would do 10-20 drops and if oily skin i would do about 3-5 drops. +Taylor Moss I totally do this too. I just mix it in an old spray bottle of the NYX dewey finishing spray it's incredible I have normal skin & do 10-20 drops regularly, but I just use witch hazel it's cheaper and less chemically since it has natural toning properties

+S McBee +Lisa Remo thanks ladies, I've been a makeup artist and medical esthetician for 15yrs and one of the requests I would get most from my more mature clients would be tips and tricks for them to look appropriately made up for their "age". Although I'm a "do you doll" kinda person, I get their point. It's important to keep your entire demographic covered. I myself am normally 20+yrs their junior, but keep in consideration that I'm sharing my knowledge to EVERYone. This just seemed to be a fantastic opportunity for the fabulous +Jaclyn Hill to do the same for some of her more mature subscribers 😊❤️

I just would love LOVE love to see you do a brown/gold smoky eye. You did similar ones when you first started making youtube tutorials. I think a lot of us would love to see newer versions of those looks since your quality in lighting and editing has improved so much. :)

+Chialia V She likes to stick with good quality products. Morphe and MUG are the best cheap good quality shadows that you'll find. In my experience drugstore eye shadows are horrible.

This past weekend I was getting my nails done and a girl sitting nearby was wearing an adorable fall sweater. I work at Ulta and have tried many of the Anastasia brow products. When I ran out of my Brow Wiz, I caved to try the NYX comparison. At first, I hated it. I used it once, and then went right back to my Anastasia pomade. Eventually, I was running late and tried the NYX one again since I had it on hand, thinking it would be faster. Now, I love it. I've found that the first few uses of each pencil can be a little hard. I don't know what it is, maybe it just gets too much air at the end when it's in the package, but once you get past that, it feels just like the Anastasia Brow Wiz. This is my new go to, and I use it every day! When I buy a new one, I just rub it on a paper towel or whatever is handy to get the first bit off, and then it works like a charm. Hope that helps!

+Only Chanel Who cares if she doesn't work on other people. Why do so many people get hung up on that? It's not uncommon for people on KZfaq to only do makeup on themselves. If she doesn't do the kind of makeup YOU like move on and find someone who does instead of continuing to watch her and becoming angry that she isn't what YOU want her to be.

Can you do a video without the brands that compensate you (Morphe specifically)? Morphe is really hard to get my hands on sometimes as the products you mention tend to go out of stock often. Plus, with shipping, it tends to hike up the price. Just one video. That's all I'm asking. I know you love these brands and nothing seems to compare, but for the subscribers that can't get a hold of anything other than what's at their local drugstore, I think it would help them a lot. P.S. I love the Nyx micro brow pencil. I find it's a perfect dupe for the brow wiz. I would get another one to see if it works better for you. :)

+Alexandria Nicole She has mentioned in some of her older videos that drugstore makeup tends to make her break out very badly so that's why she uses them in tutorials so infrequently - it's hard for her to find products that work for her. But that doesn't mean she couldn't find drugstore brushes or other regular products, however.

Girl! You are so amazing for bringing what your subscribers want to the table 😍 I personally love what you love, as in warm tones lol. But I think it's great you did your best to change it up. Who cares if you don't always use drugstore products (even though I know we both love that maybelline gel liner) and who cares if you used a warmer shade as an eye shadow base. You have literally taught me so much & I love make up & I thank you for that! You're also an amazing person. I totally get that you've been filming slot in order to get us more videos , you've been working quickly and that may not leave time for bloopers 😉 Love youuuu QUEEN ❤️

Thank you soooo much for doing a cool toned fall look. I love how warm tones look on others but bronze colors and terracotta look super orange on me. I also appreciate the budget friendly products. It's nice to see the high end brands and dream but it's nice to have a tutorial I can implement as well. I'm simply calling for decency. I agree, you can have an opinion, but saying someone looked like an alien? Just seemed like a low blow to me. On my tombstone I want it to be said that I was kind and gracious. That was my point. I just want opinions to be rooted in decency. If you walked up to me and told me that? As a STRANGER? I love love love this look ! After five years of wearing bare minerals and two pregnancies my skin has changed dramatically and just wasn't agreeing with powders anymore. I needed to make a switch to liquid based makeup but was super overwhelmed and didn't want to spend a fortune at sephora not knowing what would work for me. I bought the true match and fit me concealer for now, And it's a great transition ! Thank you love !

The NYX micro brow pencil is so much creamier than the Anastasia one! You must have gotten a bad batch. The Anastasia one crumbles a lot on me but the NYX one doesn't at all.

LMWest NYX's pomade is amazing too! It doesn't dry out as fast as Anastasia's. Her dipbrow pomade has so much product but it dries out within a month or two and I still have over half of it left. Not cool. But I love Anastasia's eyeshadows!

Holli Story NYX's micro brow pencil is relatively new and looks a lot like the brow wiz. They've released other brow products in the past but they weren't as good.

If you spray you brush with water it works you do not have to buy fix + because water literally works the same! I buy a little clear bottle from target put water and it works so good! Hope this helps! 👍🏼 😊

Yeah fix + has its pros but for eyeshadows i pack on shadow on my brush then wet it and it works awesome with the eyeshadow! Don't dip with a wet brush into powder it will ruin! I heard fix plus is to not look over powdery and just put all the makeup together but tbh i dont want to spend because i need something that will set not refresh i may end up buying it! Idk yet!

Jaclyn I'm such a huge fan and I love all your videos, but this one is on point! I own your morphe palette and my husband marine corps ball is coming up. I use that palette all the time anyways so I'm definitely doing this look.. It'll go perfect with my dress! I love makeup so much but can't afford a lot of high end stuff so this is super helpful. +Rachel Davis my lighting throughout the video tilted downward. Its on a tripod that doesnt fully support it in place so the light was shining on the lower half of my face and chest towards the end. Youre observant!

try setting it with a shadow that matches the liner! I had this problem too and that really helped me

+Lainey Lanclos I always use a really good translucent setting powder heavily in those areas to help keep it from running. It isn't 100% foolproof but it does help.

Don't forget to prime the lower lids! I had this problem and that really helped me. I currently use smash box 24 hr photo finish primer! Good luck!

+Lainey Lanclos Avoid kohl eyeliners. They are too soft for the waterline and will smudge or run into your inner corner. I would stick with gel liners. Maybelline Eye Studio is a very affordable option.

Long wearing waterproof kohl pencil. Gel liner set with powder does nothing for watery eyes.

Jaclyn, I want to say this as respectful as possible because I know you take comments to heart. First let me say I am a HUGE fan of yours. I have been following you for years and I think you are an incredibly talented makeup artist. I get excited for your tutorials and I literally CAN NOT WAIT until you post them! But here’s the thing. I can do your warm smokey eye with winged eyeliner like a pro. I have got the look down! But for me, that is the problem. That’s all there is and has been for a really long time. I want to learn more! After all, isn’t that what ‘tutorials’ are all about? I am glad you like a warm smokey eye, and it looks great on you!!! But, not on my roommate - she is pale and look like a clown whenever I try to do it on her. It would be nice to see some different looks once in a while. My best friend has a hooded eye - maybe a tutorial on that? Or how about looks for specific eye colors and skin tones? We all know its impossible for every look to look good on everyone - and that's ok! And how about the black girls? Or a quick mature look tutorial? My mom is getting ready to celebrate her 60th birthday and she is still living in the 90s with her blue eyeliner! I’d like to surprise her and do her makeup for her party and I have no idea where to start! Or what about some different application techniques? Like a cool 3 color gradient? I know lots of people give you shit for your expensive bags and shoes and all that, but honestly, I don’t care - I just want to learn. I want to be able to do different looks. That’s all. I am so proud of all you’ve accomplished and this is in no way me being a ‘hater’ or anything - I am just hoping you’ll hear me - one of your biggest fans!
