We import oil from the middle east because it's cheaper since workers are payed lower since jobs are hard to find in these countries. If we extract the resources from our own country it would cost more money to pay our people. All Iraq and afghanistan can do is live off of resources. Countries run by sharia law like afghanistan restrict science, music, dance, fashion, art, sports, etc. They dont promote education and jobs for women. All this could help improve the economy with jobs, trade, and tourism. All these countries can do is live off the resources. Then they continue to beg and assign blame to other countries. Countries like Iraq and Afghanistan dont create new things like medicine, cars, computers, etc that other countries will buy. It is the owns countries beliefs and policies that's destroying these countries while the rest of the world grows stronger and continue to evolve. Afghanistan hardly had any money with over 70% coming from foreign funds. If they really had an economy then they wouldnt be in a humanitarian crises.

Taliban is from southern Afghanistan. They are ethnically Pashtun similar to Pakistanis. They also have the power, weapons, and bombs. The rest of Afghanistan has nothing to fight them back.
