Showdown 53 will go down in the history books as one to remember, with Adelaide sparking life into its season to overrun crosstown rival Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
The Power led 84-80 at the 11-minute mark of the last quarter before the Crows booted the last six goals to run away 31-point winners - 18.9 (117) to 13.8 (86) - in front of a 48,962-strong crowd.

Well done to the Crows! The Power were really good all night but unfortunately lost. I'm also glad that the Power can play with the Prison Bar jumpers only during showdowns.

thanks for fixing the highlights titles afl, good lads. You should also look at adding BIG misses from set shots that makes the highlights more exciting for non live viewers. eg dixons miss in the 3rd

The dangerous tackle on Peddler and the play on for Sholl were pretty terrible calls. I'm not the ump slagging sort but those were pretty bad

I really like Thilthorpe 5 straight if you don't mind, along with Rankine 4, we're amazing Rachele, and laird along with Keays were very creative when the whips got cracking in the last quarter. Jordan Dawson is a good captain because he Leeds by example he has that footy know how. Great win in the battles of the churches, Sam Powell pepper is a shining light for Port. Rozee and butters need to be 4 quarter players. At least it was a good close game from the beginning to ten minutes into the last term then the crows just wanted it more. Both Port and Brisbane seem to have problems, I know it's only early and things can turn around but let's be honest Ken Hinkley will not be coaching Port next year word although he lifted them up and got them very competitive. There game plan is predictable and it appears they need a new fresh coach with a different outlook.

How good was the Crows' Thilthorpe with his five goals? After Port Adelaide had the lead early in the final quarter, it was all Adelaide with the final six goals of the game, giving them something to Crow about. I never knew that Jordan Dawson was Adelaide's captain. Adelaide host Fremantle in Round 4 while Port Adelaide travel to Sydney.

Seems to me that there's a lot of tension at Alberton. I'd say at a guess that there's a good number in the playing group who aren't impressed with Hinkley and his style of nepotism stemming from his greyhound racing venture with some players who never get dropped back to reserves no matter how crap they play. This is their way of letting him and Koch know they're not happy.

Now that some people think about it, even though Port's jumper may look like it is a prison bar design, I may be wrong but it sort of looks like a pair of cricket wickets stuck together.🥴 It's ok, though. Port can keep them.😌 Boy, our tips are going great. 3 so far.😋

@Aqua Fyre Yatala doesn't have a football team... The club next door to the prison is Greenacres FC but it has about as much to do with the prison as PAFC has to do with "prison bars" instead of wharf pylons.😂

I'm no Collingwood fan, but I think they might aswell be as difficult towards Port Adelaide as they want. If Port really didn't want to be forced to wear the additional teal when they first entered the AFL (which is still a unique colour in professional sports today, and it actually looked decent), then they shouldn't have bothered entereing at all.
