as an editor myself, I can tell you by just the looks of it, and in certain parts, they edited and probably "green screened" some of them so the notes would all match up and or the clipped each part and put it in the same background or they either got each one separately in that spot one by one and made it seem like they were all together in that same room. I personally haven't seen their editing style, but there are many ways to go about this. Just alone without an edit is purely impossible. Any music made in AC without an edit is practically impossible. Sadly they don't let you actually "play" the instruments just strum them. So no, sadly heh, you couldn't put all of them in the same room and actually play a song. Look how even the keyboard player is slowed down and the two guitarists and timberline player is speed up. You have to have a careful eye for these things which makes me believe that they did this one at a time and then fit it perfectly in the shot which is actually possible. Tedious as all hell, but possible. This must've taken them I'd say an hour to do everything, and then about 3 or so more editing. So probably all together it would take a person without stopping, about 5-6 hours of work to put this together. Estimation wise though what makes me think it's green screened is seeing how their hair around the edges are flurry which only happens in green screens. and to have the background always perfectly up which makes me believe they had to have taken an image of that room, in that angle (because even the shadows are slightly off and or hard to see which isn't common in AC a Shadow will always be clear) and that they just had them in a green room (which you can make in AC, and then have that background image, and then place everyone in an editor in different spots. That would take longer, actually probably a day or two. But i say it was worth it. So if you want my expertise, they probably green screened this.

I looked at the Twitter post and it was basically how I thought it was done. This person recorded themselves in various different looks at each of the instruments playing random notes so that they could get a sample of each possible note that each instrument could play and then they can posited each piece of the scene with them on each instrument together and put in the appropriate notes so consider each one of those instrument players to be their own very long video project and then they are all spliced together into the same room.

It's not "fake" if you literally can't do it any other way. You can't pick the notes in game an not all notes are even in the game at all. Saying it's "fake" means that there is somehow a "real" way to do it, and there isn't

The funny thing is, back in the day, it was one of those overplayed songs that everyone got thoroughly sick of, and many people thought it was just a novelty song. Even Toto wasn't that fond of it, at first. I'm genuinely a bit surprised that it turned into an evergreen classic. To be clear, I'm not saying it's bad. I like it. But, just, of *all* the pop songs of the 80s to turn into the flag-bearer for the decade, Africa is a very odd choice. (Personally, if I were to pick a song to represent the 80s, it'd probably be something by Duran Duran.)

If you knew how the monetization works, they can definitely monetize this. I’m not sure if they did, but they can. You can make an Adsense account as soon you start KZfaq you don’t need to be big.

I got advertisements on it, so I’m guessing it is monetized. Just make sure you watch 30 seconds of the ad or if it’s shorter than 30 seconds, the whole ad. That makes it where they make money off of the ad.
