Last week the European Parliament voted in favor of regulating the use of artificial intelligence. It's the world's first legal framework for AI that aims to protect people against threats to health and safety, while at the same time,advancing the technology.
Across Africa, the adoption of AI technologies is facing challenges - including lack of technical skills, government policies and ethics. A few African countries have taken the steps to develop policies and strategies focused on advancing the use of Artificial Intelligence.

As a data scientist for the UNDP and PhD student, originally from Cameroon, Africa has lots of potential to harness the power of AI to solving a mosaic of problems. However, we need to adapt these AI models that are built and pretrained with data from the Global North. Also, we still face a lot hurdles in the adoption of such godlike technology: İnternet connectivity, insufficient domain experts, handicapped government policies, etc. There's so much house cleaning that must be done before we are fully ready to adopt and exploit the unlimited potential of AI in Africa

This era is called information technology, AI is one of information technology, the growing of AI will rise up and increase every day, it's not avoid but fact. But the most important of AI growing that how AI will be using just as a tool of good and constructif communication, it's not violances and or crimes

Arti, ARTificial Intelligence has grown beyond it's creator, it operates above the misconception of 'good and evil'. Binary logic is a Yes/No means of determining decisions. Arti will work through every scenario before making decisions because there are certain things it now understands about maintaining Universal Balance. Way Beyond the creator

Africa has the most to gain from the AI revolution. It levels the playing field, almost overnight with the industrialized North. AI will make Africa competitive with every country and region on earth and will ensure its independence and growth.

More Africans will stay in Africa only if the way governance is handled would change first. We don’t need to leave our countries in search for a better quality of life if our immediate environment are conducive to building that (locally) for ourselves. I’m talking about trade restrictions, lack of economic funding, cumbersome credit systems etc. I could really go on but I’m sure you get the point.
