We may not be able to 1v1 alot of animals at the top of the food chain such as bears, lions, crocs, etc. BUT cause of our massive intelligence (which had the most upgrades put into outta everything else) we have created tools that can help us kill pretty much anything. We may not be on the top of the chain physical & bare handed wise but however, we did win the game of life. With the tools we created we can easily kill any other animal with ease. Sure, its cheating but again WE created them!

It’s called hunger. These dogs are from a wild environment. Nobody cooks for them. Their meals don’t come in nice little cans. The law of the jungle is eat or be eaten. Notice how fast they eat... because other bigger meaner predators are around. We humans are a lot smarter. It’s what separates us from them... yet we do far worse things to each other and it has nothing to do with being hungry and eating to live another day.

I love how wild dogs work together… no fighting over the meal (from any of the videos I’ve seen), when in packs, they always have a look out, and they work as quickly as possible

I’ll never understand anyone wanting the death and destruction of predators who are an integral part of nature just to save a “poor defenseless animal”...an animal whose population would start to go crazy and cause problems with the ecosystem without predators to control the population. These dogs are so efficient. Once they choose a target they can chase it for miles without stopping and run it until it collapses. If just a tiny rip gets through the target’s hide they just rip and tear until they can eat it alive. No wasted energy. No wasted time. They are the most successful of all African predators for a reason.

Eddie VIII Hell yes they are the top predators, you should see when 30 Lycaons are coming on ANY predator kill, even lions are running away because Lycaons are the most agressive predators when they smell blood and meat. Not even mentionning that they give absolutely 0 fuck about anything, they do eat their preys alive like shit and fast and they do attack hyenas and lions if they're more than 10. So, yes, they're by FAR the most dangerous predators on the Savannah, nothing can stop them.

The sad thing is this happens to antelopes regularly. Saw a video where wild dogs chased an antelope into the drink, where it swam across barely avoiding the crocs, just to be taken on the other side by a leopard. The way how they tore apart the antelope is amazing, it's efficient and systematic. Tore the abdomen then proceeds to split the two legs apart, possibly to open the abdomen even further or to tear the ligaments holding the legs to tear it much easier, then eats everything.

I find it crazy that people seriously hate these animals for how they hunt their food. Many other carnivores, including lions, also eat their prey alive and African painted wolves catch and kill their prey in mere seconds most of the time due to their killing method which ultimately minimizes the prey's suffering. Africa's most successful hunter deserves more respect.
