When the interviewer is asking him a question you can see in Bob’s eyes and facial expression that he is listening intently to fully understand so he can answer intelligently. This type of focus is so rare nowadays.

Bob was indeed a beautiful person and undoubtedly one of the greatest musicians of all time, but he was wrong about quite a lot of things. @@gettingoutthedarknes I certainly don't dislike Rastafarians. On the contrary, I really like pretty much all the Rastas I know about or have ever met. However, I'm not a fan of religion in general , In fact I think most religion is totalitarian, oppressive, barbaric, discriminating, illogical, dishonest, superstitious, arrogant nonsense. However , I kind of like the way Rastafarians took the totally nasty bullshit of the Abrahamic religions and created something far far better. A much more egalitarian, earth loving, nature respecting religion than the hideous, blinkered, death cult doctrines of hate that are Judaism, Christianity and Islam. But Rastafarianism is based on bullshit just the same. Haile Sellasie was a messiah ? Come on ! And I could be wrong but I think Rastafarianism is quite misogynist. Yes I am an atheist. But please understand what the definition of that word is. It means I don't believe that any evidence presented for the existence of God is remotely convincing, therefore I don't believe in the concept of any god that has been proposed to me. The universe is indeed a mysterious place, but "god" is a complete failure in terms of understanding that mystery.

@@jupitermoongauge4055that's just ur perspective, the definition of prophet means someone who is sent by God to speak the truth, there are plenty of rasta man who believe bob is a prophet, ur understand doesn't necessarily mean ur right

@@leoedison3470 ok pal. some imaginary man in the sky sent Bob to say a bunch of things that only people who are smoking the same stuff Bob was smoking think could be a said by a prophet. Sounds so plausible

@@jupitermoongauge4055 no Christian actually thinks that God is a big man in the sky, I think maybe you should study it more as jesus saves souls I'm witness and many others are as well, god bless you 🙏❤️
@jupitermoongauge405511 ай бұрын
@@leoedison3470 I was brought up a Christian, I have heard countless explainations for what god is supposed to be and as an atheist I have studied the origins of religion. Here's the thing, there are as many versions of what god is supposed to be as there are people who believe in such nonsense and in every case, not one of them is backed by any credible evidence. So you can bloviate all you like about Rastafarianusm, prophets, Christianity etc, but you may as well be talking about a man in the sky who rides on a unicorn made out of cheese for all its worth

@amro gibril Actually a movie was shot by a director called K. MacDonald, simply titled "MARLEY" and released in 2001 or is it 2011? Can't remember exactly but forgive me, time blurs a lot of memory. And believe it or not 3 really top class Hollywood directors and legends including the greats Martin Scorsese and Oliver Stone lined up to produce Marley's biopic but disagreements between them, Rita Marley and the family regarding specific movie content led to the whole project to be shelved. Later of course K. MacDonald was awarded the deal. However, I just can't remember that third Hollywood director!!!!

Lawrence Njawe yes my friend I did saw that but it was more like a documentary than a an actual biopic movie with a real budget in my opinion and to be honest I heard from different sources that some Marley family member female especially they are totally money hungry more than anything! Which is really sad ! And probably yes they might be the cause since they seems like they really do not care much about bob the human and figure as much as bob Marley the money maker !

Bob Marley converted from Rastafarianism to Orthodoxy before he died. In particular, Ethiopian Orthodoxy, which was the same church that the “leader” of Rastafarianism came from. He was an Orthodox priest who when came to Jamaica, after speaking The Truth of Christ, began to be worshipped himself, and could not resist that temptation. That is why Rastafarianism has so much Logos (Truth) in it. Bob Marley *knew* what Truth was/is. See for yourself. Go and visit an Orthodox Church near you! (Russian, Greek, Ethiopian, etc.)

I see that most people only listen to his music and use him to normalize smoking Herb. Also he says alotta good and wise and beautiful things that we take on and live by and share with people. but man, this guy is helping me see and have God, Jah, in my life. I'm a European-Māori who grew up athiest (but always had my own beliefs) and now I'm embracing Rastafari. Haile Selassie I, yknow? So much more than the music and herb man.

I could not feel music for about a year. Then one day God put in my heart, to listen to "Get Up Stand Up". An amazing feeling to feel music, as though I were feeling it for the first time. I was. God was removing the garbage of the American Music industry. The Lord lead me to this song for a reason, so I had to find out the reason. God wanted me to know where I am. East is the face of heaven. South is where God will descend. North is where Lucipher exalted himself above Gods stars aka Angels. West is where the Angels come, so is the deminished.
