Yes but you cannot control it through your phone. They give you a controller that you use to open/close the valves. You can pay a lot extra like $300 and get the one where it is controlled through your phone tho!

It becomes a little louder, there is no tune or downpipe on the car so no pops and bangs. The exhaust will crackle on its own at lower rpms! I'll try to get a video out soon!

Many times on these cars they consider the muffler(the HUGE box before the exhaust tips) a suitcase muffler. After that muffler you have that other box you are talking about which is the resonator. Then you have just a pipe all of the way back until you get to the catalytic converter. Removing the resonator is going to make it louder for sure. With this exhaust, that resonator is still technically there BUT that resonator is turned into the place where the exhaust valves can open and close with the button. Removing the suitcase muffler and resonator will be pretty loud, but with a downpipe it will sound really raspy and in my opinion very bad. There is all kinds of KZfaq videos out there with resonator deletes that you could try to check out! I'll try to get a video out within the next week or two reviewing this exhaust and answering some questions to try to check back with me to get a little more insight on it!

@@ian.ashworth Yeah I used to have stock catback with resonator delete. It was nice, had few DSG farts but wasn't loud in general. I guess my option is to get a downpipe paired with force catback, because I wanted to remove x force resonator/muffler which controls the valves but it might be raspy. X-Force to me sounds bit tinny like metallic noise when driving low RPMS.

@@yazuo6964 Oh gotcha! Yeah that is for sure an option. I plan to grab a catless downpipe once I get the rest of the supporting mods for 'stage 2'. With that being said, I'll need those valves because my neighbors are not going to be happy with how loud catless is. I feel like even the catted downpipes are still too quiet for my liking tbh

@@ian.ashworth yeah that was my original plan too, either 200 cell hi flow cat or catless, Im leaning towards 200 cell over catless because catless smells awful but does offer the best performance and sounding since no restrictions. Who you getting tuned by for stage 2 eventually?

@@yazuo6964 I plan on getting a protune at a dyno somewhere near me, I'm not super sure yet though. I feel like getting a protune like that rather than a tune straight from a company would be safer due to the dyno shop being able to tune me specifically for the parts I have rather than someone like APR who tune all cars I believe as if they only had APR parts installed. I could be wrong though

From what I understand, when the valves are open you almost have just a 3” straight piped exhaust. You cannot cut that resonator without affecting the functionality of the valves. When you open the valves the sound should go straight through the open valve and not be resonated. I have the same setup and the only thing we can do to make it louder would be getting a 4” or bigger exhaust

@@ian.ashworth i went from a catless downpipe with no muffler/resonator to the valved catback and valves open do not sound like a straight pipe as its still passing through the muffler

Personally, I do not think that it is loud enough to make people mad. It's only loud when you're really getting on the gas. I just made a review on the exhaust on my channel, take a look at that to help ya out. The only issue I had was that I never correctly installed the valve system but I was still able to open/close the valves.
