I have to be honest, this is probably how I like Floor's voice the best. Full out belting on a kick ass track, great guitar solo too. I love it. I like Northward too, for this reason.

Tbh in the Netherlands metal is really not recognized as a serious genre, even as we've produced acts such as Floor Jansen, Epica, and Within Temptation. The latter is played on the radio sometimes but then it's only the oldies, Ice Queen and such. Pretty embarrassing if you ask me.

@@Roanmonster Indeed, the mainstream radio channels seem to ignore such gems and rather focus on the usual mediocre pop noise. Unknown makes unloved. Although, there is a considerable audience that is not discouraged by this and knows how to approach and find these gems anyway.

Back in 2007 I was listening Energize Me in repeat, it was in all my playlists and to this day, one my favorite songs. and with all honesty when Tarja left I was thinking that this singer could easily replace her, I didn't even knew your name back then. Now Floor is the name of all female metal voices.

An amazing voice that I think was misused (in my opinion...) in Nightwish. There were definitely a few moments where Floor got to shine with them but in general I think that they would have been so much better in their last version if they had gone with song structures that were a bit more traditional and not such grandiose, huge pieces, and let Floor open up more. Again, just my 2 cents here..... I am a big Nightwish fan as well.

Dear Floor, this was the first song I've heard of you and your voice and I was blown away instantly. Back then in 2007/2008 at the Summerbreeze festival in Germany I was waiting at barricade for another band and didn't even know about you and your band After Forever. I will never forget the moment when you entered the stage and sing to us with such an energy and emotion. My eyes were hooked on you the entire set. An absolute carbon copy experience at Download Festival 2007 in the UK when I walked into that tent in pure discovery mode and listened to After Forever play this song. But I still remember to this day, almost 20 years later, how good it was. I consider myself blessed that I've been one of the lucky ones who've enjoyed Floor all these years.

Coincido en partes en esta banda siempre fue ella con su potencial igual como SOLISTA pero en Nightwish es un desperdicio de talento siempre lo dije en Nightwish la desperdician por eso aunque sea cantante fenomenal en esa banda nunca me gustó espero que con este álbum nuevo de Nightwish valoren el potencial de Floor aquí se nota la diferencia digan lo que digan en After Forever y como solista Floor es la mejor Pink Pop de todas es su palo fuerte 🤘🏻 hay que ser honesto hasta consigo mismo Floor aquí si te amo 🤘🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Nem acho que seja só uma questão de "ela tinha mais liberdade". Ela tinha mais liberdade sim, mas o ponto é que as músicas do after forever foram todas pensadas para que ela cantasse, para que a voz dela fosse o destaque. As do nightwish, não. Em relação às músicas antigas, ela precisou se adaptar e criar versões próprias, dentro de um contexto em que ela é só mais uma integrante da banda. E isso aconteceu também, para a frustração de muitos, com as músicas novas. As músicas novas não são fáceis de cantar e exploram várias técnicas vocais. A diferença, na minha opinião, é que elas não são feitas para dar destaque para a Floor, mas para se encaixar na marca Nightwish.

It is always bending my mind, how good Floor has always been. If you listen to her today, it seems clear. She is a giant talent, who has honed her abilities with hard work and experience, to be where she is today. But if you listen to this earlier pieces you can clearly hear, that her abilities have always been exceptional. No matter what you do. If you have reached a certain level, perfection is only some small things away. Those nuances seem to be miniscule, but they take all those years of hard work. Thank you Floor, for all this effort, to be best vocalist you can be for us.

Can we ever expect an After Forever reunion concert? Would be so freaking epic! My friend introduced me to AF in 2003 and she is in love with Floors voice. During the NW concerts in NL she caught covid so she couldn't make it. I would love to take here to her dream concert on day. 😊 1 show would probably not be enough, whole 013 weekend 😂

I would just like to say thank you Floor, in Canada we don’t get a lot of good music on the radio, so about 13 years ago I got fed up with the same old shit over and over again, then I found After Forever and Nightwish and a whole bunch of other great bands from your side of the world.
