@@cgreenfield6655 Its more important yeah, But a nice TV will blow you away the same way audio will. If your spending well over 10k on audio a nice TV is a worth while pair. Its the disparity thats funny. My mid/high end 1000 dollar TV from a few years ago can nearly flash bang me and make me squint when a dark scene flashes white with an explosion or something, Its so good. Adds to the immersion.

Pro tip. Remove the plastic wrapping from your vinyl. That stuff shrinks and can warp a record. If you want to protect the sleeve just get sleeve covers.

Not bad advice over the long term, but there's no rush for this dude with 8 records. I've got dozens of records from the 70s and 80s still in wrap and they haven't shrunk/warped yet. But I agree, he should probably unwrap and resleeve those some time before 2070

Addressed in one of the Frank videos: There's a window after feeding where it's due. Then, you have a month and a half where you get a no-poo guarantee. Well, a no-poo pinky-swear. OK, a forecast with reduced chance of poo.

I LOVE my REL sub! I've got the a T2 and holy shit. It ACTUALLY blends in properly!! I got it free from my work and had to mess about and fix it but once I got the connections fixed up its been amazing!

Great speakers mate . I'm in adelaide as well and also have a set of Ascension speakers like yours . I have edwards subs and center chanel aswell . Very nice indeed with some proper amps .

The giant woofers on the towers are bassy enough as id imagine. i never would think a tiny sub like that would be as good as that. and i thought my Speedwoofer 10s was crazy

Fantastic looking setup man, The speakers look lovely I love how it all fits in nicely to your TV unit, I use to have a Cambridge Audio a60 when they first came out. Having the inbuilt DAC was really cool, especially when listening to CD's from the CXC transporter Via the headphones. You could hear like different layers to the track. I bet when you watch a soup oppra on the TV you will hear the textures of the actors coats and clothing. Does your Cambridge support Pre Out cables to a power amp? If so some Maplins banana plugs could allow you to connect the integrated and the power amp into your speakers for when you need a bit more power 😂 not that you will I loved this video man

I don't think you need to go that crazy with it. I have a 55inch Sony Bravia x85j which has a va panel and it still blows me away with how good it looks. Pretty much any Bravia TV will look good, although they're all kinda pricey, you can really get a good one for under $1000. Mine with tax cost a little over $800.

These are big until you've seen Osborn Grand Monuments lol Ascension speakers are great value orientated speakers though. VAF is a bit higher quality but you pay quite a bit more for it You can customise your speakers more than mass market with many of the Australian brands and even talk to the designer/owner

The ESS9016 DAC chip in the CXA81 is wayy outdated, its 15 years old now as of april 2024. I wouldn`t use that if I were you, it seriously lacks fidelity compared to more up to date ESS chips. A good upgrade would be a modern external DAC and just use the RCA line inputs
