I actually was lucky, and was able to watch the episode BEFORE knowing Weird Al voiced Cheese, and In my honest opinion I thought he was still an excellent character that served his roll in the episode well.

Easy explanation for the background alicorns: They're cosplayers! Ponies, of any tribe, dressing up with strap on wings and horns to play act as alicorns. Simple!

I never knew that Weird Al voiced Cheese Sandwich!! That's a new thing for me. I was able to enjoy the character without knowing who voiced him...and I will forever ship him with Pinkie Pie.

What? Is no one gonna touch the fact they brought real life objects into the show? That was trippy man!

Isn't it great to see how much Josh's attitude towards the show changed over time? I'm glad we got to witness his growth from hater to closet brony to proud member or the FOB Equestria complete with his own pony avatar ^u^

After rewatching this episode so many times, this has beaten out the premiere for my favorite episode of Season 4, and as such is in my top 10 favorites of the whole show.

I just had a thought here. Cheese Sandwich is a party planner, and his cheesy sense tells him where parties are going to be. This makes sense. Pinkie Pie is a party planner, and her pinkie sense tells her when dangerous things are about to happen. Am I the only one wondering why Pinkie needed to develop a sense to avoid getting hurt?

Ok first, Hahahaha!! Second, This was indeed one of the best episodes of the season so far. Pinkie was developed so well and Weird Al to me felt like a character in the show instead of a celebrity. I like your guy's review on this episode and can't wait to see more by you two.

Noooot trying to show any bias towards a fellow military man, but dang it, this is probably my favorite After The Fact thus far (saying a lot, since your sense of humor and timing is quite refreshing, Silver Quill), due in part to Josh himself. any one else notice that the only alicorn ponies we've had show up this season are in the rainbow key episodes. i wonder what the staff is trying to hint at here.

This was the first episode of MLP I watched, and to be honest it left me more meh the first time around, it wasn't until Maud Pie got me to give the show a full view that I found this episode hit, then again I probably had my man shields up as well so that probably contributed to the meh factor.

Apparently I lived under a rock most of my life, cause when I saw this episode I had no idea who Weird Al was, I just thought to myself "this pony is weird, but he's cool!"

Pinkie isn't leaving town, she's taking her supplies for the goof off and going home. I really like your point about his cheesy sense versus her pinkie sense. That was also the reason why I was ok that this was just Weird Al Pony. He had to be an equal in every way to Pinkie in order to be an appropriate antagonist for her. Pinkie Sense - check. Partying - check. Randomness intended for comedic value - check. Ability to break the fourth wall - bingo, only instead of a character reaching out to interact directly with the audience, you have a mirror situation of Weird Al stepping through the fourth wall to become a pony. Intentional or not, I thought that was pretty clever.

I moved away from my old hometown around my birthday almost 5 years ago, so I can agree with Josh. Also I loved how Pinkie pie sang the Pinata song during the goof off. For those who don't know, when she was on top of the pinata she sang in Spanish which is Dale, dale, dale. No pierdas el tino. Porque si lo pierdes. Pierdes el camino. Ya le diste una.
