democracynow.org - Celebrity chef and television presenter Anthony Bourdain has died by suicide. The 61-year-old was found dead in his hotel room in Strasbourg, France, where he was filming an episode of his CNN program “Parts Unknown.” During one episode of his show, he traveled to Gaza. In 2014, he won an award from the Muslim Public Affairs Council. In his acceptance speech, he said, “The world has visited many terrible things on the Palestinian people, none more shameful than robbing them of their basic humanity.”

I see on my recommendation while i watch this video, a channel called banijay documentaries shared his Jerusalem documentary. Not sure if it's the same one you mentioned. Strange how he killed himself in Strasbourg, France... a very historically Jewish town of Alsace, later accepted as a part of france . very odd

Right now I'm remembering his one on one dinner with an obscenely rich man, meal was priced in the thousands, and right outside the window could see people in abject poverty. He made a subversively serious quip about "Hey what do you think we give them some?" The guy gave a slight chuckle and then preached about it being the natural order of things. "Some have to be on top" and that sort of self-justifying stuff. You could tell Anthony hated the man and came away disgusted by the whole situation...

Most of the time it's border issues, autonomy / self-government rights, population documentation, maintaining certain powers over security, land, water, airspace control issues. They tend to offer something much less than what you and I would call a state.

Anthony was not only a cultural ambassador but he was a cure for xenophobia which unfortunately infests at least one branch of the the US government today. A few months ago when Anthony was on TV I said "now why can't we have him as our President instead of the one we got?" He would have made a great President, make no mistake about that. I don't care if he had a drug problem. At least he didn't have a soul problem.

Anthony Bourdain,R.I.P.,it's a bit difficult for me to understand a man who gets paid to travel the world,eat the best food,drink the finest drink,use the planet's most sought after illicit substances but couldn't find genuine happiness.I feel there's a lesson here,a lesson all of us need to address,but a lesson I can't seem to put my finger on...or perhaps the lesson here is not tell the whole world the truth about Israel and the Palestinians,or Israel and anything else

I have listened to several in the news media talking of Anthony Bourdain’s suicide. I think some have “hit the nail on the head”!!! Anthony Bourdain finally spoke out against the wrong powerful person!!!!! R.I.P. Anthony Bourdain...you were an honest man that believed in speaking out for humanity and also for those dearest to you!

As a tv show host i did not care for him too much. As a human being Ive learned he was quite exceptional. I thank you for your dedication to your fellow human being Mr, Bourdain.
