Atheism is cancer, not because of its merits, but because of the militant sanctimonious psychos who attack anything remotely associated with religion or the god question. If I weren’t an atheist, I’d tell them to burn in hell.

Please know that us Christians never feel hate for you and others that hold a similar view. Each of us has our own free will and each chooses their own path. I walked into a church when I was almost 10 years old back in 1975, my single mother was doing a poor job since she lived with a biker and was selling drugs, dirt poor doesn’t begin to describe the living conditions. Christ was the lifeline that saved me and gave me a lifetime father and my life turned out pretty well. A lot of atheists went through experiences that changed their view and the same for many scientists who were trying to prove that God does not exist. But hating people is a waste of energy since it’s easy to hate people but a challenge to show understanding and love when people need it the most. We discern right from wrong based on natural morals and simply reject things like homosexuality and abortion. And speaking on abortion, my mother and biological father were seriously considering aborting me but it turned out that I was the only kid born on my mother side of the family, my very liberal/Marxist aunt never had children and she deeply regrets it. But we have different perspectives, & that's ok. You're right that atheists went through experiences; but most of those experiences were purely intellectual. Through a great deal of thought, they (we) have a different metaphysical conclusion than you. But that's what it is to be in a pluralistic society. We can agree to disagree.

When someone politely says “no thanks” to perversion, that’s not hate, it’s their choice. When a parent tells their district school board to quit pushing sex and homosexuality on 8 year olds it’s because a line was crossed since at no time do Christians force kids to read the Bible or write essays about the joys of Christianity. I've been reading stories of the revival and persecution that has been going on in China - many stories that are similar to the church in the book of Acts. Healings, people being raised from the dead, thousands being saved and all done thru the use of uneducated but devoted believers. It's the wholehearted, whole Spirited, and whole minded commitment that God is best able to move thru. An unstoppable force even in the face of persecution.
