🔅Heavy cream ~1/4 Cup

🔅Salt ~ 1 tsp

🔅Baking powder ~1 tsp
VICTORIA SANDWICH CAKE:
(Without Strawberry Jam)
🔅Plain flour ~ 200g

Lovely video, but traditionally there should be a layer of strawberry jam under the cream inside the Victoria sponge.

Thanks for the comment, I have already mentioned in the video description Victoria sponge cake without strawberry jam. I know that traditionally strawberry jam is used but most of the people don't like it with jam.

Jam in cakes is not widely done in the US. If mostly Americans are watching, I can understand her leaving it out so as not to have comments section flooded.

Traditional Victoria sponge has no cream. Only jam and a sprinkling of caster sugar. That's the only way they accept them in show. Personally I like jam strawberries and cream.

Traditionally, there's a layer of strawberry jam spread over the bottom layer, then the cream layer, before the top layer is placed on it.

I made the scones, and they were simply perfect. I personally don't care for jam in Victorian cake and would prefer more fresh strawberries, so I'll give your recipe a go one day. Everything is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
