"All these years" 🤣 Jeez they've genuinely not been going that long LOL! Try comparing them to classic rock bands that had 2 decades of bangers behind them before still bringing out new bangers - e.g. U2 formed in 1979 then came back in the 90s with One, early 2000s with Beautiful Day, Elevation and Vertigo. Bon Jovi formed in 1983 with Livin' on a Prayer in 1986 then the anthem It's My Life in 2000 and their late 2000s stuff wasn't bad either. Just a few examples but ATC have comparitively only been going for half an hour tbh

I'm the same listen to them since 2015 though and by far the best band I've ever came across and I've never regretted it immediately fell in love with Chrissy vocals on day 1 of listening to them fully

Happened for a lot. If you were in the past... Some of us started a Kurt Hugo Schneider's channel where they just uploaded a cover and "waiiit...". That was about 10 years ago. KHS always knew how to chose talented pep.

Ive been to 2 of their concerts and i can only recommend it. Its super fun and chrissy is full of energy when shes on stage. It was literally the only nice moment i had that time cause it was while we had exams in university. Go on rockin Greetings Their biggest fan in Germany :^)

I'd say like 95% band's popularity comes from Chrissy and it's more like her side project than a standalone identifiable band. Given the fate of the most power-pop bands of early 2010's, ATC is at solid spot.

I just got tickets to their Nightmares and Daydreams tour today! And I totally get you, fellow high schooler working minimum wage. Definitely recommend saving money rather than getting fast food everyday obviously, but don’t ignore your savings account either. Wish you luck in getting tickets the next time they swing by India!

Great song, Dan and Will with the instrumental and the very strong voice from Chrissy, this band is at an all-time high. Can't wait for May 14th in Phila. I am 64 and have watched all your videos from the cover's, to blindfolded, an amazing journey for the three of you. I hope this is your year.

This is easily one of the best new songs i heard all last year, it instantly became my joint fave ATC song. These guys are a gift that just keeps on giving. Hope for loads more bangers like this in the future, Long may they continue

@@lysaali50 other joint fave is Gravity. Fave non ATC song? Ah man, no idea really. Long term faves include Ace of Spades, Crazy Train etc. But in last few years I've listened to Lavender Bones by stand Atlantic and Invincible by Amaranthe almost on a daily basis

Whoever had the idea of using four-on-the-floor in the chorus deserves massive respect, it takes the energy of the chorus to a whole other level. It surprises me every time. Brilliant track - this new sound really suits them

Duuude I’ve been obsessed with this song ever since it came out, nonstop replay. I saw the title of the video and literally almost screamed and woke up my whole neighborhood. Sooooo excited y’all killed it with this song! I do wonder what an acoustic version would sound like though…..🤔

@Jeff Geiser Sure the structure of the song is very simplistic, but it’s far from boring. As a matter of fact, the simpler structure matches the more down-to-earth lyrics, which I personally find relatable and powerful. On top of that the artistry of the instruments flows and melds together in a way that 1: Definitely isn’t “boring” and 2: Is also not too outlandishly crazy and in-your-face, which Against The Current definitely is not an in-your-face kind of band. So overall I love blindfolded, and it’s catchy enough for me to have it on repeat for the past month-and-a-half. You’re entitled to your opinion of course, I just feel “boring” is a strong word

This song feels like the opening of a last season of an anime, where hero became his most powerful self, is fighting his last fight and reflects on how he imagined life being and what it really is. Love it, hits so hard. Favorite song after lullaby!

Against the Current is and was the best accidental music discovery I ever made. I still remember the day I saw an article about the band shared by a random Twitter account I was following. It was right around the release of the Gravity EP. Been rocking out to ATC ever since! 🤟🏻🎤🎸🥁🎵🔥❤
