Wow, I love the game play and the commentary. It is a treat to watch and understand the thought process as the game is unfolding. I wish the camera would capture the back corners because stuff is happening back there that would be nice to see. Especially the technique on the backhand side deep in the back. I want to see that :). Great video post today. Thank you.

Thank you for the feedback ☺️ I agree re the back right corners. Given limited space behind the court I'll need to position the camera on the backhand side but we'll lose the back right corner a bit. Hopefully at different courts I can capture the entire court. Wishing you the very best in 2024. Take care, - Ahad

Awesome stuff - 85% of the people at my club are this type of player: They want to keep rallies short, and attack and kill the ball as soon and as fast as possible, and some have really really good hands and shot making capabilities from all over the court to accomplish this. Playing with them It can get frustrating sometimes because a few of us enjoy the aspect of building rallies and moving each other around and setting up the point, more like a chess match, not to mention getting some more exercise in the process. Instead, rallies are 2-4 shots max, the ball never gets fully warm and stays warm... When I started learning to play squash and I was this type of player, but I had a classical coach give me pointers about setting up basic length, using height... etc. This improved my game dramatically and now it's instinctively a part of my game, but I find myself more passive against these aggressive players and I need to attack more, instead of trying to be passive and have long rallies, which is not what they want to do, because they'll be the first to put the ball down. I want to develop more attacks into my game now, need to break that defensive/passive habit 👊

Nice. Appreciate the commentary on the follow thru. Same here. Some opponents over anticipate and before you have finished your stroke, they are in your follow thru. Perphaps you can do match on game plan, like play to a certain tactic against a type of play.

The call you asked about, I thought was a no let. It looked that in two rallies you went around him to the backhand front rather than going straight in to the ball. In playing a very good aggressive shot maker like Ali, a strategy I try that often works is to try and bore the opponent to death by keeping it down one side, tight and deep, and then he starts making mistakes. (I'm not in his class of player, but talking of me an average B player playing an A player).

Great video. Loved the commentary. Any chance you could place the camera at a slightly higher height?
