At the time of his death last week, Ahmad Jamal was the greatest living pianist after Tatum & Peterson. Pure genius! And now we've lost Harry Belafonte. Two icons of music within a week's time. Rest in peace, & thank you.

I love the showmanship between Ahmad and Gary. It somehow seems more reverential than was between Gary and Chic.
