A very beautiful soul, I pray that all of us Muslims all over the world can follow his example in devoting ourselves to God and his Messenger such we don't harm other creatures of God be they human or otherwise, as peace and stability are something we desperately need in the Muslim world, amin 🙂

But never forget that we have to physically fight in the ways of Jihad as well. Don’t be fooled into living a pacifist subservient lifestyle. Peace and stability are derived from war and battle. So we can lead good peaceful lives as Muslims, but don’t forget that even Rasulullah (PBUH) fought the Pagan Arabs in order to spread the true word of Islam.

Surely Allah does not like transgressors. This is a command, to fight those who fight you, not a request or a suggestion, the French specifically were looking to destroy Islamic presence, and impose secularism many times. As a Senegalese who was born and raised in Thailand because I’m also Thai I’ve always seen the picture of bamba growing up whenever we would gather around the Senegalese community for Quran and some sort of dhikr. I visited Touba in 2011 as a kid and was invited into the home of the founder because my father was one of their best students. At that time I was still too young to communicate in foreign languages or innerstand the importance of where I was (they even bestowed a name upon me at that time which I try to reject, but for some time I start to accept it was Sohkna Amy Chiekh), but with the knowledge of Bambas system of education I now overstand how deeply I’m aligned to this path and how deeply it’s been resonating within me throughout my whole life. I am 20 now and yes i will livicate my actions towards a reform process that betters the world, but only Allah knows what impact I will make and how I will get there. 16:21

Congratulations for the extensive research and quality of the output. Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba’s life and teachings could certainly not be covered in a 40mins video, but you managed to give a relatively fair introduction to his philosophy and the way of life he taught. His message was and still is for the entire world and his teachings are even more important and powerful in the present days with a world that is so polarized. Always reminds me of the following Quranic verse: Holy Quran 49:13 O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.

Very interesting, inspiring and encouraging presentation. Thank you for portraying with such care and detail the spiritual impulses that through this one man laid a beautiful and robust foundation for a society to develop from within colonialism, and find itself so well equipped to resist the temptation of following less meritorious examples from within both the colonized and colonizing nations. As a Christian (Mennonite) practitioner of nonviolence, it is great to have kindred family among Muslim neighbors.

Just wanted to thank you for your continued work on producing videos on Islamic topics, you actually may not know this but your information has had a tremendous impact on many people especially none Muslims ,as I know of people who converted to Islam after watching your videos (I am not sure if this was intended by you). I myself converted to Islam after meeting a friend from Nigeria while a student in University and who was heavily influenced by the teachings of Ahmadou Bamba . Increasing religious knowledge is key to a better understanding of how human nature works and can lead to better relationships across cultures and consequently religions. I leave you with the most noble of greetings ,the one used by all the prophets and that which was taught to human kind and Jinn...ASALAMUHALIKUM WAHRAMATULLAHIWAHBARAKATUHU !

I really loved this video. I knew a little about Muslim non-violent resistance to colonialism in the context of India and Pakistan but I'd not heard Ahmadou Bamba's story before. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
