Gregory McMichael, 64, son Travis McMichael, 34, and neighbor William Bryan, 50, are accused of chasing down the victim in a tragic confrontation on Feb. 23 in Brunswick, Georgia.
The question before the court is: Is this murder? Prosecutors and attorneys for Arbery’s family say yes. The McMichaels chased the victim in a Ford F-150, while Bryan drove a Chevy Silverado pickup truck, authorities said. Bryan filmed while father and son confronted the 25-year-old Arbery, and Travis shot the victim with 12-gauge shotgun, according to the indictment obtained by Law&Crime.
At the time of the killing, Gregory McMichael allegedly told police that they believed Arbery was involved in several burglaries in the area. But there was only one reported burglary in the area in recent weeks: a January 1 alleged theft in which a gun was stolen from a pickup truck outside Travis McMichael’s home.
911 audio from shortly before the shooting showed a caller reporting a black man in a white T-shirt at a nearby house under construction.

I just want to say that the empathetic, humane, rational people in our society have nothing in common with those that think there’s any good reason to hunt and execute a man like they did Ahmaud. We watched that young man’s murder and there’s beings that think that he deserved it. Don’t bother fellow human beings arguing with soulless vile beings.

Right from the start the defense attorneys case is flawed by trying to compare the McMichaels verbal commands and use of firearms to law enforcement officers involved with Ahmuad Arbery in 2013 there is no connection between the two what so ever. Law enforcement officers making an arrest and the McMichaels chasing Ahmuad Arbery because Greg McMichael seen him running down the street. Even under questioning the school police officer is being indifferent about what constitute a misdemeanor charge, because he knows Greg McMichael as current officer, but he can't remember much except he was in no condition to chase Ahmuad Arbery. That's why he stayed in his car trying to catch him. His physical appearance speaks volumes about his conditioning as a law enforcement officer.

Rittenhouse should've been locked up. It amazes me that people can voluntarily show up with guns to a high tension event and then claim self defense when something occurs, just silly. The difference between judges was night and day aswell, the Rittenhouse judge was an angry grump who let his emotions factor into it and was throwing tantrums throughout to the prosecutor, he was very bias and already decided he was siding with Kyle. In this case the judge was extremely calm and peaceful, was not bias at all, and just straightup made judgement based on the facts of the case.

To be fair. Many people in the comments said the land owner of house didn’t care if Ahmaud Arbery was looking around. The McMichael‘s wouldn’t of probably knew that. They saw a guy going in the place and trespassing. It is a tragic case and I am not going to make any judgements until after the case.

@@79tazman first he didnt break in. He trespassed. 2nd he didnt steal anything so you calling him a burglar is ignorant when it comes to this case. Third Arbery was going to college to go after his best life. Guess what he was going to become... AN ELECTRICIAN! So he was probably admiring the progress of the house and that would give him visuals to what he was going to learn and become.

53:01 Ahmaud was never “held” by them. Fight or flight right? ….what was preventing Ahmaud for continuing to fly?…such as away and towards a nearby house for help? Or what made him so sure they they wanted to harm him instead of simply stop and talk or detain him? Come on people…Ahmaud was a hot head who’d still be alive he he was smarter and controlled his thoughts and emotions.
@chuckkent5395

He'd be alive if they would have left him alone. They had no right to approach him period. Your thinking is what's wrong. No matter what his demeanor was, they had no right to kill him. Your thought process is saying anyone that has a hothead can be killed. That's crazy....and how do you determine in this case that he was a hothead. He was running bothering nobody.

@@chuckkent5395 My thinking is what’s wrong? Listen, there’s weirdos in this world…and these guys shouldn’t have been acting like Neighborhood cops/vigilantes. My point is that Ahmed unfortunately lacked critical thinking skills and emotional control to make the decisions necessary to remain alive that day. He did precisely what “not to do” in that scenario.

@@johndoe-yy7my Ive never suggested the only solution was to keep running. Critical decisions to survival in circumstances like that is to NEVER attack a gunman unless you 100% believe it’s do or die. This clearly was not the case here..yet for whatever reason (cultural brainwashing?) Ahmaud couldn’t pickup the signs his life truly wasn’t in danger, they only wanted to stop him, wrong as that was. Also based on his history, there’s a good chance his temper, emotions and hubris just got the better of him.

@@Val_Halla777 The problem with your response is, they are in court and none of what you are talking about it the law or what the defense can use to get them off...not to mention what they have already admitted to. I agree with what you are saying, for the most part, but can't say what his perception was. I am sure if someone was chasing you with guns and had almost cornered you several times....you might come to the conclusion that your life was endanger. Either way, it's not good for the McMichaels and their friend. They already admitted in their statements what they did and what they were trying to do.

Ahmaud Arbery was not jogging like so many have said he broke into a house and the two went to confront him and were attacked by Ahmaud Arbery trying to take the gun away from the guy who shot him. Should they of confronted him no maybe they should not of they should of called the police but it's legal to make a citizen's arrest when someone witnesses a person breaking into a house now if Arbery did not run up and start attacking the guy he would of never had been shot but he choose to fight a guy armed with a gun and lost.
