Ahmedabad, a city located on the banks of Sabarmati river in Gujarat. Also known as Amdavad, the city has emerged as an important economic and industrial hub in India.
Delhi Food Walks went on a food tour exploring the rich food heritage of the city. The journey started with first visiting the Sabarmati Ashram. A national monument with great historical significance attached to it, the father of Indian nation, Mahatma Gandhi lived here for about twelve years along with his wife Kasturba Gandhi.
Coming to street food, Gujrat is the land of innovation and creativity. The variety of street food one get to taste in whole of Gujrat is incomparable. As most of the population is vegetarian, the street dishes are predominantly vegetarian.

You should do food tour of tier 2 and 3 cities of Maharashtra and try the real rustic delicacies. I am sure u would go ga ga. Kolhapur, Karad, Aurangabad, Marathwada and parts of Vidharbh. U wont ever forget that unique cuisine and dishes. Please do visit as it's your kind of place villages, old style restaurants or home style cooking. Do plan a food tour soon. Only dabeli was authentic, rest all you get everywhere in india. Please show something which is Ahmedabad authentic - gaanthiya, faafda, paatra, khandvi, fulvadi, manek chowk,moti mahal. Also where is the non veg? I hope you'll be covering moti mahal's green kheema, noora barahandi's saaki rose and paaya, mubin's bheja fry and darbari, famous's kheema samosa and kebab, food inn's butter chicken, Sigdi's chicken winter legs and mutton raan, food truck park's - fire and flames food truck's khaliya maanda and shawrma! Please show these places! They are authentic Ahmedabad style preparations and treat to watch!

Sir If you are in Ahmedabad please visit mane chow at night. It is the best place to get street food in Ahmedabad also you should visit Salim bhai ka burger which are the best burgers in the town.. . I am also from Ahmedabad you can contact me if you need any help around.... Also do visit jamnagar city in Gujarat which has a lot of variety of street food as well as authentic gujarati food.

one truth: there are Gujarati dishes available which are not sweet. If we add sugar to all the dishes we eat daily, we all Gujarati will have sugar problems. So it's a complete misconception.

Anubhav Bhai aapko manna padhega, you still maintain your physique. Can you also add rates/cost of food, it will be helpfull. Gujrati people shud go healthy , an advice. Now I understand why most of my friends who are gujrati are vegetarian but are overweight.
