For exploring the non-vegetarian delicacies, Delhi Food Walks went on a food tour in the iconic Bhatiyar Gali, located within the Old City, near Teen Darwaza. . It is famous for its 600-year old tradition of mouth-watering non-vegetarian delicacies. It’s a lane that has traditionally housed bhatiyars-cooks who prepare meals for large events.

@@SoumyaChowdhury24081995 Nope, 4th actually. Rajasthan tops the list, followed by Haryana, then Punjab (which might come as a shock to some), and then Gujarat. But overall, there are more vegetarians in Gujarat than non-vegetarians. Also, Saurashtra (Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, etc.) as a region is far more vegetarian than mainland Gujarat (Ahmedabad, Vadodara), due to a higher concentration of Jains, Vaishnav Baniyas, Lohanas, and a relatively smaller Muslim population. www.huffingtonpost.in/2016/06/14/how-india-eats_n_10434374.html

@@Balboa_Rocky ppl from other states n city call it Ahmedabad but we amdavadi prefer to call our city amdavad not Ahmedabad. And the feeling of being called amdavadi is just like the ultimate comfort. Nothing can soothe u more if u have lived the amdavadi life.

In ahmedabad you can eat meat chicken without any doubt in mind there less chance of mixing beef with chicken mutton in same shop or in time of cook but in lucknow nd delhi be careful and only eat where there is no buffalo meat or only chicken mutton.....
