I think season 2 is in a bit of a tricky place since it has to lead into Filoni's movie to some degree, but I'm hoping that it can feel satisfying in its own right rather than just being continuation/setup. Season 1 also had that challenge in many ways, but now that they've got momentum and are already in the interesting setting of a new galaxy, I'm hoping season 2 can really hit the ground running and feel like more of a fantasy adventure epic than what we've gotten with the other recent series.

Gee, I thought, based on certain KZfaq channels, Ahsoka wasn't getting any kind of Season 2, and that Jon Favreau was gone from Star Wars storytelling, partly due to the BETRAYAL of Dave Filoni, at Kathleen Kennedy's behest? Color me...not surprised. I do wonder if that sketch means that, at some point in the 2nd Season, Ahsoka and Sabine will find and reach that Mortis Gods structure, and go deeper in to the history of The Force on Peridea.

When Shin and Sabine become a couple, we’re all gonna celebrate

Why?

I expect nothing in particular from Season 2 of Ahsoka other than Sabine continuing to struggle with her connection to the Force. I know that she's a bit overpowered what with being pretty much perfect at everything in Rebels, but when it comes to the Force, she struggles, and if it weren't for a clear purpose and goal in getting Ezra home helping her in the Finale, but now wondering this foreign world, she may find it hard to connect once again. I don't mind Sabine becoming a Jedi, but I do mind if she's suddenly capable of doing anything without us seeing her continue to train and struggle to connect with the Force. It's entirely possible that she was even tapping into the Dark Side a bit just to grab the lightsaber to kill that Deathtrooper. She was desperate, and she was pushing really hard to make it come to her after so many failed attempts. She's being choked to death in that moment, so not exactly a time to relax and let the Force flow through her, but she had been attempting to do that before, now she finally willed something to be like someone who uses the Dark Side would. And she's not just naturally gifted with the Force, it wasn't like she could always do this, nor is she Force Sensitive by some lineage of blood (that we know of), she's trying to do this through practice, and there's plenty of gunk in her history that could be preventing her from tapping into the Light Side of the Force, or could be used to fuel her abilities in the Dark Side. I'd love to see her dealing with an internal conflict and that affecting her training so that she's not just suddenly great.
