Would be cool to see you do a comparison of tracks with lyrics you've written by inserting them in the custom section. I've been doing that and getting some great results. Then, I've been downloading them, importing them into my DAW, stem separating them, mastering each section (Bass, drums, instruments, vocals) individualu and using the parts that work for me. Also, I've been having Gemini take science articles and convert them into lyrics and then having Udio generate songs using the lyrics. I typically have the first generation set to "instrumental," then, using the community tip guide for Udio, I'll use tags like [chorus], [verse 1: haunting vocals], [interlude], etc, to generate specific sections when I extend. During the extension, I'll select Custom lyrics, and thats where I'll use the aforementioned tags. Examples of this can be found on my Udio tracks. I'll reply with links to them.

Udio is not limited to 10 tracks though: it's 600 tracks per month for free, and there's no daily cap. Their UI could definitely be more intuitive. Suno and Udio are both great tools, thanks for the comparison!

I laughed all the way along with you :) By the way, Suno is much better at generating funky grooves than Udio in my opinion. Especially when you get that 80's sound.

You can copyrightable as soon as you do something to it. Like otherwise they wouldn't be putting it in all these professional products.

Udio is hands down the GPT-4 to Suno's GPT 3.5 Midjoruney's Version 4 to Midjourney's Version 3

Suno are better at catchy pop and rock, but Udio is miles ahead in sound quality, vocals and more advanced music. For me, Suno is a kids tool (damn good one), Udio could actually produce quality music. I've have made some pretty decent jazz/electronica on Udio, nobody would react if it was played on radio - just right out of the box.

In some categories, even right now, (which might change in only a couple of months with AI) the Udio generations are 100% perfect for use RIGHT NOW> There's no need to spend time writing and producing music that Udio will do, and btw.. sound better.

I would have said Suno until Udio fixed it's problem with consistency. Now it 'sUdio hands down. no contest. Something has happened to Suno with lyric cadences and v3 has become just as scratchy and noisy as v2 was. I actually just downgraded Suno from a Premiere plan to monthly and will cancel at the end of this month. And yes, that's possible if you contact Suno directly. You aren't stuck with a full year payment. Just offer to pay the monthly rate for the months you used and they will refund the balance.

From my experience. Suno is superior. It can produce music from around the world, in whatever languages and genres. Udio is mostly limited to Western music. Yeah sure, Udio's sound quality might be better, but that's about it.

Suno seems to have annoying "auto-tune" like artifacts. Also, Suno seems to have trouble matching lyrics to the rhythm.

I'm going to Throw this out, there. It's copying vocals, or artists sounds, with your ideas and remixing them. It's interesting how we are cheapening the hard work of writing music, for cheap entertainment. One that could* put bands , stage hand's, sound engineers, lighting,ex. . Out of work so a few programmers can make a buck, or corporate monopolys decide what is best for you to listen to*$, again. Interesting times in the global market.
