More on basics of ai than religious impact on it

I think it is rather imperative that you stress the fact that religion (i.e. Islam) does not prohibit the advancement of this technology what-so-ever but rather welcomes it as a sign to understand how God has created this phenomenon we call consciousness. This element of the spiritual aspect that is part of our intellect should also be discussed more in detail. I understand you had limited time, but I personally thought those were the more important topics to discuss.

Although a first talk in it's category it didn't touch the most important topic of all which in my humble opinion should have been "How AI can be used in Islam".

Is it not just higher form of computer engineering, copying what God has created. Bad idea that will be misused.

"And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you are truthful. (Quran 2:23)" This challenge hasn't been fulfilled since the beginning of Islam, and never will. The purpose of this “challenge” was to make it clear to the pagans, Open in app christians, and jews of Arab and specifically the Makkans, that this Quran is not forged, and is not just a work of poetry, rather it is the word of Allah (SWT) sent to his righteous Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.). If you (Arabs) still believe that this a work of poetry, and is written by a human, then bring forth another work of poetry similar to this, as you Arabs are so proud of your poetry skills and eloquency."" - Quora The question is: isn't it haram to do such an Experiment? Trying artificial intelligence to produce surah?

This ayah is a test for the disbeliever... a disbeliever doesn't believe in haram. So no problem in the ayah in my opinion. They don't believe in the Qur'an to begin with... so they are allowed to disqualify it's legitimacy by attempting to re-create such verses, yes, even the arabs that lived during the time of the prophet. There is a misconception about questioning the Qur'an. Allah WANTS the reader to do so. It's not haram to question the Qur'an. However, we do know from the Qur'an that it IS haram (wrong) to believe without understanding (see chapter 4 verse 82), or understanding Islam as your parents/grandparents taught you (see chapter 33 verse 56). Proof that Allah (God) wants us to question the Qur'an and research it's content. 4-82 "Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction." 3-118 "O you who have believed, do not take as intimates those other than yourselves (believers), for they (unbelievers) will not spare you [any] ruin. They wish you would have hardship. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths(!), and what their breasts conceal is greater. We have certainly made clear to you the signs, if you will use reason." 33-56 And they will say, "Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries, and they led us astray from the [right] way. There are many more examples but to keep it short and straight I'll leave it as is. There is a major problem in the practice of Islam today. The same mistakes are being made. The Torah has Talmud (Hadith, sayings/rumours of rabbi's) The Bible has Gospels (Hadith, sayings/rumours of the people around prophet Jesus) The Qur'an has Hadith (sayings/rumours of the people around prophet Muhammad) See the pattern? The main issue is that these writings are considered a SOURCE OF RELIGION, in reality they are NOT. The only source for Judaism, Christianity and Islam are their respective holy books. I haven't read the Torah nor the Bible completely (main reason: They are altered). So I won't talk about the contradictions present in the Talmud with the Torah nor the Gospels with the Bible. However, I have done some good amount of research in effort to declutter my mind of the hadith. I'll give simple examples: Wudu (a mandatory ritual done before praying, also known as Ablution). I'll recite the Qur'an: 5-6 "O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it. Allah does not intend to make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you that you may be grateful." So according to the Qur'an, the ablution is done by 4 easy steps. Washing the face, both arms up to the elbow IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER, wiping the head with wet hands and washing both feet to the ankles IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER. Now, I've written some words in capital letters because I want to highlight them. Hadith tells us something different about ablution. KITAB AL-TAHARAH (THE BOOK OF PURIFICATION) Book 2, Number 0436: "Humran, the freed slave of 'Uthman, said: Uthman b. 'Affan called for ablution water and this is how he performed the ablution. He washed his hands thrice. He then rinsed his mouth and cleaned his nose with water (three times). He then washed his face three times, then washed his right arm up to the elbow three times, then washed his left arm like that, then wiped his head; then washed his right foot up to the ankle three times, then washed his left foot like that, and then said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) perform ablution like this ablution of mine. Then the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: He who performs ablution like this ablution of mine and then stood up (for prayer) and offered two rak'ahs of prayer without allowing his thoughts to be distracted, all his previous sins are expiated. Ibn Shihab said: Our scholars remarked: This is the most complete of the ablutions performed for prayer." According to Hadith, the Qur'an is WRONG/NOT COMPLETE about how to do ablution, because it's done like this: Wash the hands thrice (3 times), Rinse the mouth, clean nose with water thrice (3 times), Wash face thrice (3 times), wash both arms (starting from right arm) to the ankles thrice (3 times), wipe head with water, wash both feet (starting from right foot) to the ankles thrice (3 times). This simple example shows how mankind distorts the message of Allah (God). And I haven't even touched on the fact that Hadith came into existence roughly 200 years after the passing of the prophet. Salām (Peace) Peace Shalom (Peace)
