Cubans do not have the opportunity to go pro unless they escape from their country permanently. All these top "amateur" athletes in Olympics and world champs, they barely get paid. Athletes have to give their all just to get meals, housing and maybe a car.

Guardia baja como roy jones jr. Es bueno pero no tanto como jones . Por lo menos no en la ofensiva! En la calle debe ser un maestro, contra gente común. Pero ennel boxeo profesional hubiese tenido que mejorrar por mucho. Solo esquivar, y anotar puntos por 3 asaltos no hubiese sido suficiente para que tuviera éxito, como profesional!

to boxer Julio Cesar La Cruz has not been told that the Ring is not a circus. His coach, his manager must teach this young and promising champion that Boxing is a tough, difficult sport that requires sacrifice and seriousness. I see that the defeat suffered by the American Khalil Coe did not teach him anything and other defeats will follow if he does not mature. La Cruz has all the qualities to reach the top but has to stop wasting energy by spinning in the ring. Its future is linked to its maturation and its composure in the ring.
