Күн бұрынU.S. Air Force Airman assigned to the 14th Airlift Squadron, 437th Airlift Wing, from JB Charleston, S.C., conduct a training static line and bundle drop over Pope Army Air Field, May 10, 2013 in support of the annual Yudh Abhyas 2013 Exercise. The 82nd Airborne Division from Fort Bragg, NC joined the Indian Army during this training. The training provides both the Air Force aircrew, 82nd paratroopers, and the Indian paratroopers with joint readiness, providing an experience and joint force.Video by Brandi Hansen | 1st Combat Camera Squadron

For people saying many Indian army personal are old , they are JCO's(Junior Commissioned Officer) men who have given 26-34 yrs of service for their nation. They have yrs of management and warfare experience and hence earn the respect from their CO's. (also initial instructors to both officers and soldiers is JCO only.....) They are common soldiers who evolve as leaders (4% ratio) after passing with high physical and academic marks, unlike direct officer recruits.

Most JCO were sent to these training for having experience and when they come back the senior officers tried to adopt the best of the practices in the forces.

How can you directly prepare to become a paratrooper from a civilian ,jo man mein aaya hai diya bas , logo Ko chutiya samjha hai kyà lodudeen ,first you have to get recruited and go through the basic training to become a foot Soldier and after serving in your unit for a while then you may volunteer to go through the probation period or first get selected to go through it, if you qualify the probation , then you become a parachutist , mein civilian hoon lekin mujhe bhi pata hai , logo ko chutiya samajh kar kuch bhi mat bol diya kar

I have noticed one thing. I saw 3 videos of India-US combined exercises. And in all those videos they are carefully showing only that part which shows the bright side of US troops. In first video that I saw they exclusively showed some shots where our troops appear a bit nervous due to whatever reasons or concerned about the presence of cameras while sitting in a plane along with US soldiers before a dive from it In the second video they showed that portion wherein the US soldiers are claiming that Indian soldiers praised them. And also that part where the US soldiers won an excersice against theirIndian counterparts in a desert terrain in India. And finally a US soldier proudly proclaiming something along the lines of "I am not a cavalry man/ I haven't riden on a horse before but still I could shoot and our squad won against the Indians who are used to the terrain". Thirdly, this video where I suspect they purposefully showed that part where you can see the Indian soldiers being captured by the US team and also the last part where you can see and hear straight from the mouth of an Indian soldier that we don't have a GPS system in place. I understand our men aren't as equipped as the US military and in excercises either Indian or US soldiers can win depending on their vigil, hardwork, strategy etc. But I have observed that they show only those portions where the US soldiers bettered their Indian counterparts or videos which shows India's lack of efficient equipments or where Indians are extoling them. Now that is unfair.

The gear, helmets and other equipments supplied to the Indian soldiers should be modernized. The combat dress should also be modernized and changed from region to region. I have seen some soldiers wearing ww2 helmets and old, decolorized dress, I feel very sad as an Indian.

There are a lot of soldiers in the Indian army. Most of em are reserve army. But, the troops which are active near the border are supplied with the mid, higher mid range gears for quick action and retaliation. Changing gears for the whole army is required, yes. But, feeding and giving a shelter to the soldiers has always been a priority to the Indian army!

Noob. The gear is top tier, and camouflage is terrain based. This is the Parachute Regiment you're talking of. They're the elite of the Indian forces.

These are NVG enabled MKU helmets. Paratrooper special forces and dedicated COIN troops like RR avail digital pattern camouflage in combat/frontline deployments.

Also, it is impossible for you to have seen WW2 era helmets in IA, unless you're watching a stupid movie, or a historical documentary. So stop lying and acting like you're an expert. IA's standard issue helmets were previously Model 1974, which are being replaced by the latest MKU helmets on a fast-track basis. The stop-gap measure were improvised Patka helmets which are availed still by CRPF & SOG in J&K. Most frontline units have MKU helmets.

Thats because India have Career Soldiers while regular US soldiers just do it for the contracted period of time(ie other than special forces). :/

i know, even the special forces are now fleeing the service and trying to join the lucrative mercenary companies that pays above what US gov paid them in specops.. Indian soldiers are more patriotic and they are more experienced since they have real enemy over land borders..

I see the American training the India army how to properly parachute out of a C 17 and my guess they are training the Indian senior officers that will no doughty train the rest of the Indian army. So our youngest soldiers are training your best.........LOL you guys just sound silly

Travis Maddog You guess wrong.......and stupidly...... no one sends the senior officers for "training"......... I don't now about the US army structure, but an Officer post means you are mostly done with the rigors of being a soldier and you ease into a more commanding position or a desk job........... Military Engineers also start as Officers........ Plus as I said Indian have Career Soldiers..... most people join the army by the time they are 20 ore more ie after initial education.......... It is considered a service and a as a Job and not as a round the world Tour for immature 18 year olds.
