reminded me of R.K Laxman’s short stories . I like the way you tell the story and the narration is great. Some feedback , it might be a good idea to get better lighting . Perhaps having a bit of a closeup will also help in reducing a busy background .

بہترین سلمان صاحب! مجھے ایک لطیفہ یاد آیا آپ کی اس داستان سے۔ ایک صاحب کے دو گدھے تھے جو اس کو بہت پیارے تھے۔ ایک ویران دشوار گزار سفر میں ایک گدھے کی وفات ہو جاتی ہے وہ اس کو دفنا دیتا ہے۔ کچھ اور مسافت کے بعد دوسرا بھی گدھا مر جاتا ہے۔ وہ اس کو بھی دفنا دیتا ہے۔ ان گدھوں کے علاوہ متاع اور ہوتی کوئی نہیں سو وہ اسی قبر کے پاس بیٹھا رہتا ہے۔ رفتہ رفتہ کاروبار گلشن کا چل پڑتا ہے رونق میلہ شروع ہو جاتا ہے۔ اطلاع ملتی ہے کچھ مسافت پر ایک اور مزار ہے جو بڑا رش لیتا ہے۔وہ وہاں جاتا ہے تو وہاں کا گدی نشین پوچھتا ہے آپ کے وہاں کونسے بزرگ دفن ہیں تو وہ کہتا ہے ان کے بڑے بھائی۔ سو بزرگ بر حق ہے لیکن اس کے درمیان بہت سے فراڈیئے بھی کاروبار کر رہے ہیں۔

I once heard that in the 50s Geological Society of Pak published a report that Data Darbar famous occupant may not have been buried there. Have you ever come across any such information?

Yes. The story I heard many years ago is that this was a Hindu shrine appropriated for Islam. But I cannot comment any further on this.
