(Quoting Wikipedia) The song was covered by Aimee Mann for the 1995 Nilsson tribute album ... Mann's version also appears in the 1999 film Magnolia and on the film's soundtrack." So here it is, 2015, meaning Mann recorded this 20 years ago. How time does fly.

(See? A meaningful, substantive post that includes the year they were here without that "Anyone else here in 2015?" silliness.) And I agree about time. Listening to this song again, it's hitting me how long ago that was. It's 26 years now (2021). Sigh.

Try listening to the original. The opening sound beep,beep,beep. Was harry nilsson listening to the busy signal on the telephone. He wrote the song at the same time. Some may want to google what a busy tone is. Aimee did a nice version.

Magnolia (1999) bought me here. Still I have no idea whatever happened in the movie, and what was the basic point to prove in that plot. But I still loved it, as I loved it's soundtrack. The main reason is, there are many different explanations of that movie. All of them uniquely different in their writing, but I still can't find how frog rain had a connection to it all, and the 'new' smart kid knew that was coming. Also how did that gun got there!...
@penknight85322 жыл бұрын
You have to have lived long enough to understand that movie and what it is dealing with. Twenty and Thirty Year Olds aren't going to get it and its a very uncomfortable movie. Very difficult for people to sit through 3 hours of dark pain to get to the payoff with the frog scene and ending. And many people who have lived enough to understand the movie don't want to relive the pain and trauma again that the movie is dealing with.

November 26, 1911 26-11-1911 2+6 = 8 1+1 = 2 (82) 1-9 = 8 1+1 = 2 (82) 82 is a key number in the film, if you look carefully the number can be seen more than 20 times in a various (obvious) locations in the film. And no it's not a coincedence, because the number is seen so many times it is ridiculous, then Exodus 8:2 is seen written at various locations. Exodus 8:2 And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs.
