Hi, I use a small paint brush, usually. Sometimes I will use a brush tip marker. I use a water soluble fabric paint or marker. I dilute the paint/dye with rubbing alcolol since I like may paint more transparent. Keep in mind to use a water based paint or marker, because in my experience alcohol inks/solvent based paints/markers will bleed/run in resin. Test for your particular use to be sure. Hi, I know it works with the broad handle bullet tip markes as shown in the video. Both Crayola brand and, I understand, other brands. Need to clarify my broad tip marker verbiage. It is really a broad diameter marker with a bullet tip. I tried a true broad tip nib from my Ohuhu and it didn't work, but the brush side did with caveats per below because the handle diameter is the same as the Crayola +/- a few hairs. I just tested a couple of my other markers with a brush tip, and longer tipped bullet style brush hybrid with a similar diameter, and while the barrel diameter works and they did spray, it was not ideal. I think the bullet style tip is what is needed. But yes, if one can find a bullet tip permanent marker with a barrel diameter that will work when closing the air brush around it, I would think it's fine. Just guessing here. Spec: the Crayola barrel is about a hair over 15mm (between 9/16 and 5/8 inch). The Ohuhu brush tip alcohol markers I have fit fine in the air brush ( as did one of my Sharpie wider barrel handles) and work with the sprayer. But because it is a brush tip, the spray is a little weird, but worked. Some experimenting is needed. Not sure if $12 may be worth trying? If they didn't work, perhaps they could be used for other purposes. I would buy them to find out, but I already have so many markers, LOL... I really don't need anymore. If anyone ever tries these or others I would love to hear about it. PS. If I ever use a water based marker or ink and want to do wet medium over the top, I usually put a light spray of Rust-oleum Painter's Touch 2X clear on top and that solves the problem, or other water resistant clear spray. Note that Painter's Touch needs to be done outside since it is not water based and smells. There are some acrylic sprays that may be able to be sprayed indoors?
