I flew on this plane, the exact same route. One of the most pleasant flying experiences I've ever had.

I flew the 788 from CPH to YYZ, one of the nicest planes I have ever flown on, very smooth and very fast.

Great video. I wanted to add a feature that wasn’t mentioned but I feel is a very important one though it isn’t seen or heard: the 20% humidity vs. 4% on other planes. On long hauls in particular, the higher humidity almost negates the typical tiredness and spacey feeling one gets. It’s great to feel refreshed at the end of 10 hours or more and be able to function as if one just drove 3 hours in a convertible on a sunny day! If at all possible when booking a long flight, choose one with this aircraft.

Awesome! I really enjoyed this review. I've only flown business on AC three times, trying out he classic pod and studio pod. Neither was amazing but this cabin looks perfect. If I ever get the chance to fly business again I hope it will be on the 787-8/-9

love this plane. Pretty much fly air canada, japan and quatar version for this plane. The singapore and Air France 777 is another great plane and airline combo. Not only smooth ride but lots of room for airlines to make unique first/business class.

Quite a good review by the way. Definitely a big step up from the 777.

Thanks for your informative video. Seat configuration looks good with plenty of privacy but not sure about the legs under the table when using the flat bed. I like the pod set up on the 747B and this looks almost as good.

wooohoo I soooooo lucked into getting business class at the same price I paid for economy last year to go Halifax NS to Delhi India. I got business class whole way, (Hal -> Tor is only on Embraer though) but the Toronto - Delhi flight is 14 hours on Dreamliner and same for return! So I am soooo happy I got this! Air Canada messed up my last flights the whole way from non-confirmed rebooking after the flight from Halifax was cancelled, to boarding passes not being able to be issued because of eticket numbers being messed up. So I got 30% off voucher on my next flight, 1000 extra aeroplan miles, and they refunded the phone bill I incurred having to call them roaming from Delhi to sort my boarding pass issues (which were their error). TO my surprise I couldn't use the 30% on my normal route through London Heathrow as it required changing to an AC code share flight, so I had to use it on only actual AC jets. Luckily AC now has Toronto to Delhi direct on the dreamliner. I did NOT want to ever do that flight in economy class though as its 14 hours long. But since I booked so early I guess, mixed with the 30% code, I got the whole trip for 2400 in business class, which is within 200 of what I paid for economy class last time! Now I get a pod for 14 hours each way!!!! woohoooo!!! I will certainly document every minute of it since its probably the only time I'll ever get to fly business class LOL. I do have a question though, I read it's 5 rows of 4 wide (1 2 1) and that row 5 has no window. The system put me automatically in 1A for all 4 legs of the journey (hal to tor and back are only embraer though) but on the seat guru, it says 1A and 1D might not be best seats as they are close to the galley. I thought it would be more private with nobody in front of me, and the coat closet on my side. Do you remember is seat 1A a good seat with good window view?? Good window view is a must for me... (I always book window even in economy). Is it like they suggested extra noisey etc because of the galley being close by? Since its so early that I booked, I can easily change to rows 2,3 or 4 as I think I am literally the first to book that flight (its not till March 2017, so 6 months away still).

I can easily say this is the most informative review I've seen, great job! done with class. I'll be flying on Air Canada Dreamliner 789 on this upcoming to San Francisco on Wednesday and I can't wait to try it out for the first time. I would assume in flight meal service will be different since it's a travel within Northern America, right?

Been on it and the service was great, the seat was comfortable but many of the tv shows and movies are very limited. I just went on it a few days ago and the screen weren't in high definition nor were there any others subtitles other than English. ( This might be a problem to some others) The food was ok but the presentation was better than the food.

Just a note: As of 2017 Espresso/capuccino is not exclusive to 787 as I was on an AC A330 and they had the machine on that plane in 2017.

Are you Canadian or Chinese (just for curiosity)? the report was amazing, but I guess the design of the business class still need to be tweaked a lil bit more maybe a partition or removable curtain to give you better privacy, washroom needs to have more space with no shower room compared to El Itihad Airlines, also camera to give you the outdoor pose of the aircraft and how does it look like in Airbus A380. Overall, great report and thanks for sharing!

I fly this plane a lot to HK. One thing it bothers me a lot is the table shouldn't be there. Every time i banged my knees to the table when I tried to move my body while sleeping on the flat bed. It wasn't that comfortable compare to other airline's business class.

But has anyone ever noticed that at night when your window is either blacked out or it's just dark outside, that since there's no window shade there are annoying reflections from the lights of nearby TV screens? This didn't happen with the good old window shades. Nevertheless, it's still a fantastic jet!

looks ok but smaller and less spacious as if the seats have been stuffed into a more narrow cabin, which ok for me at 55k and 168 cm tall but worried about people who are tall and large.

Do you remember how much space you had length-wise when the seat is all the way flat? I''m 6'3 and wondering if I have enough length space to fully stretch my legs out. Thanks!
