Air France A380-800 - Beautiful Smooth Landing New York JFK Airport

6 жыл бұрынCDG-JFK. A gray and cloudy day in NYC. A fairly smooth flight to JFK. After landing, lots of great traffic around the airport, one of my favorite things about JFK.
This is my 3rd A380 ride and it didn't disappoint. The wings on this aircraft are huge! I wasn't impressed with Air France's service, especially since we boarded 45 minutes late and there was no explanation or announcement.

TheFejf, the chief purser actually made an apology for the long delay in Paris on behalf of the crew and of Air France few minutes after landing. It's recorded in your video. It was in French. I don't know if she also did this apology in English.

Lately I've been hearing more & more from various sources about the quality, or lack thereof, of Air France service. That's surprising coming from such an established, mainline European carrier. Still don't understand the clapping on a basic, uneventful flight though.

TheFejf really?? I've heard it's more common when landing in 3rd world or undeveloped countries...or of course when there's an incident in flight like severe turbulence or a diversion/emergency landing...but not on an uneventful Air France flight. Maybe it's a new thing as u said ur hearing more & more about it. Well thx for the vid & ur response, peace ;-)

In air France do people clap hands every time the pilot lands the plane.

I think it might be a French thing... whenever I flew to France with a bunch of French people on board they all clapped after landing... whenever I returned to the states with a bunch of Americans on board no one clapped. And again other than the French I have never heard or seen anyone clap after a plane landed

@@augustharper15 here in Argentina we do, it's a form of congratulating the pilots for a job well done. We thank them for bringing us to our destination safely

They clap on the big planes not the small ones It’s because the bigger planes have more chance to crash
