Күн бұрынI flew from Iceland to Greenland on the world's longest Dash 8-200 flight (3 hours, 15 minutes)
Air Greenland serves Keflavík International Airport from Nuuk, the capital of Greenland (pop. 19,694). The airline is owned by the Greenlandic Government, and it operates a fleet of 28 aircraft: one A330neo used for transatlantic and charter flights, 9 propeller aircraft primarily serving the domestic network, and 19 helicopters that serve the remote settlements within Greenland and its rugged coastline.
Although Air Greenland's headquarters are in Nuuk, its main hub is located at Kangerlussuaq Airport. This small port city currently has the longest runway and the most reliable weather for the airline's daily jet flight to Copenhagen. This will all change in a few years when Nuuk Airport expands its runway to 6,560ft and constructs a brand new terminal. Concerns about Nuuk's unpredictable and often foggy weather are high, but Greenland wants to put Nuuk on the world map however it can.

There is no security check in Greenland that I knew of. We could walk straight out to the plane.

Okay, I'm just going to come right out and say it. This is the most beautifully filmed, edited, and produced video I have ever seen on KZfaq. 27 minutes and 42 seconds of absolutely stunning work by QFS Aviation. Gorgeously shot video. It never ceases to amaze me how spectacular Greenland is. I’ve ridden my motorcycle up to Goose Bay, Labrador, and the northernmost tip of Newfoundland, but seeing northern Labrador and Greenland by air is high up on my bucket list.

Beautiful flight report. Last year, July 2023, I visited Reykjavik . Liked so much. This video, in the beginning did remind me my trip. Greenland itself is on my agenda to visit. Beautiful and charming northern country. Pilots did allow to make a video of landing from the cockpit. Awesome! Thanks for video. Cheers from Canada

Hey bro, any flight you take and they give you the possibility of entering the cabin in the center position will always be a 10/10 flight. This video has been the best in this aspect, the pilot is very intelligent because it is a good promo for the airline, greetings I always watch your videos and you make a very good selection of music

I, with friends of mine, did the flight from Keflavik to Kulusuk in 2014. And then we used a helicopter to cover "the last mile" from Kulusuk to Agmasalik. It was one of the best my journey 🥰

When I visited Iceland I had a whole day exploring the capital. The city Airport had flights to Greenland for 150e. Shame I was on a schedule as I was tempted to visit even for a day. Amazing place, thoroughly recommend it.

Breathtaking views from the cockpit over the Greenlandic landscape and at sunset when landing in Nuuk. I was on a cruise in Nuuk in 2018. I really enjoyed the huge country and the way of life of the people. Thank you for this interesting report. Thank you for sharing this interesting report.😁

we flew a Dash-8-200 of Icelandair from Keflavik to Ilulissat, also a super trip. Was surprised the plane had a tiny toilet but no running water. The food was less fancy than yours. Another thing that surprised me was the relatively long range a Dash has.
