One of my favorite tools in my shop. I use an old tall trash can with the lid off. I put an old towel on the bottom. I place a piece of plywood with a small hole in the center over the can. Prevents nails from flying out.

Using mine to remove some old corrugated metal inside my barn. Punches the rusty nail through the tin to make removal easy and I can reuse the corrugated metal on another project. Great tool ++

I have been using it for a few months now - but already having a problem with the punch as it kind of sucks in tiny nails which totally blocks the punch channel.

That's a bummer. How tiny are we talking? They recommend not using it for anything smaller than a 20 ga nail, probably for that reason. I bet a larger punch would work, although it would make a bigger hole.

I have the same problems, but I had it right away with the 2nd pallet with 2.5mm nails. By the 5th, the neck was already so worn that almost every nail got stuck.

What size and type of compressor do you recommend to use with this tool?

2x4's aren't typically held together with the size nails this model can handle. It won't handle framing nails.

.9mm to 3.2mm (10 gauge - 20 gauge), according to the manufacturer.

who just happens to have an air compressor under the bench? Of course, the guy wanted to get rid of the wood ,its just not worth the hassle of getting the nails out

Really bad device. I already had with the 2nd pallet with 2.5mm nails that the nail got stuck between the neck and the firing pin. By the 5th pallet, the neck was already so worn that almost every nail got stuck.

With smaller nails it helps to do it in 2 or 3 shots instead of swallowing the entire nail in one pass. Around 3/4" at a time.
