Wonderful video. We live in Quail Ridge Country Club, Retirement Village and we see and hear the aircraft takeoff and landing. There is up 12 ANZ flights a day in the summer season. On top of that we have private jets visiting from overseas. It’s a beautiful airport with friendly staff to make every visitor to Northland most 😊welcome. Try visiting Kerikeri Airport and the local village. I encourage you to post your comments.

Another high Quality jumpseat video mate. Nicely done I have never asked the crew to upload mine when I have filmed. Liked

Just came across a video today so I looked for a kerikeri one. The planes fly over a corner of the farm on approach from the south. Why do the planes sometimes fly up to Matauri Bay direction when approaching from the North? I thought it was in rough weather but then seen you fly that way in good weather, then I wondered if it was because of skydivers in the air.

Hey mate it comes down to the wind direction, and if its calm then flying straight in is preferred to save time

When it's been foggy at KKE I have seen the Q300s flying up to Matauri Bay before turning back, a nice teardrop looking track on flightradar. Anthony

Today and last week the plane has flown over Kerikeri town and approached from 5km at a guess north of the runway yet other times they go 20km north. One time they went 20km north over Matauri Bay and it was a hot sunny summer days. I was wondering what factors cause a change in approach length.

if the co pilot is retracting the landing gear wouldnt you think the lever would be on his side?
@terryhodges89032 жыл бұрын
Um the gear lever is on the co pilots side, the captain is the one retracting gear up here

Is that a FLAPS 3 setting for take-off? How come?
@terryhodges89033 жыл бұрын
Nope flaps 5 and that's standard procedure unless we have a short runway
