The courts are only interested if the criminals are bothering the upper classes. If they're stealing off other poor people then that's not a problem.

I think the offenders should have to pay for the cost of the pursuit as part of their punishment, 3 months wouldn't cover the cost of the helicopter alone.

The police and courts only follow up on any fines or compensation orders if the victim is wealthy and has connections to the local authority, police or judicial system, and sentences will also be longer in those cases.

It doesn't matter what country your are from, the penalties for something as dangerous and stupid as a car chase, are no severe enough. Put them in a hotel for 3 months and feed them 3 meals a day with free medical treatment, something they don't get on the outside.

@@micko11154 It is the same in Australia as well. The sad part about all of this is, if you are in prison and require an operation, it is done straight away. The same operation for someone who is law abiding may take years on the waiting list before the op is done. Some criminals re-offend just to get back in side because they get looked after better than on the outside. The system is stuffed.

One of my favorite chases takes place in the USA. The helicopter is TRYING to keep up with a Dodge Challenger Hellcat, that is SCREAMING off into the distance. Those Hellcats are fast!🤣

During the aerials....am I the only one that notices all the forests cut down for farm land? Sad to see what we are doing to this planet. Britain has a worst revolving door than the US for crime...not enough time for the criminals...he should of gotten at least 10 yrs.

So, they wonder why they (criminals) do what they do & why they do it? Perhaps it's because a man who just stole a car, wrecked/disabled 4+ other vehicles ONLY gets 3 months in jail. And all the sentencing is that light. Maybe you need to revise your sentences for crimes. Days to a couple months for MAJOR crimes is a joke. Might want to rethink that.

I'm just so sick and disgusted with all those scums who are let go with basically no punishments ... criminals in UK are LAUGHING AT THE LAW. 3 months for going crazy on streets with a car, what about the driver he sideswiped?? That's NOT justice .. that's taking a piss! They should have let that angry guy (who got sideswiped) have a go at him, let him beat the shit out of him while his strapped down, let him step on his face and make him feel the helplessness that he makes others feel when he rams into everyone with his car or when he steals the car! That would be justice! ... 3 months .... i'm sure he is LAUGHING over this.

It wasn’t 3 months it was 2 years .the cars what got damaged got payed for out of the drivers pocket once he was released from prison .he was a young man who walked the wrong path back in 2006 after that prison sentence he turned his life around .he met a nice women settled down and had 2 sons who are clever well behaved kids .I know all this because it was ME and not a day goes by where I don’t have regret for wasting my youth

The film producers should work with a dedicated police unit to quantify the damage. The massage must be communicated to the public. We need to know how much did each criminal is costing the tax payer for each crime and in total. Only then we will get to know the true cost to society. Do not just calculate the cost of custody.

I assume it's to avoid getting their patrol cars disabled. Like they said in the first part, some farmers place rocks to prevent from their crops being destroyed by cars.That's only my assumption though.

The programme is good but the endings are awful because inevitably a guy who was drunk, purposefully rammed several cars and was wanted for burglary getting 2 months and banned from driving for a year. 🙄
